‘You Idiot’: MSNBC’s Mika Lashes Out at Co-Host Scarborough for Nutty Elizabeth Warren Impersonation

Things got a little testy, and nutty, on the set of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” this morning.
Mika Brzezinski gave her co-host, Joe Scarborough, an earful after he lost it with laughter over seeing Elizabeth Warren’s new campaign ad. Scarborough couldn’t get over the fact that Warren featured Barack Obama, the man who basically “fired” her after she created a new government division.

“I’m Elizabeth Warren, and this guy fired me,” Scarborough explained amid chuckles after watching the ad. “It’s hilarious. You say it off the air, and I hate to call you out on it when you act so shocked. [...] The banks got her fired.”
Brzezinski fired back that she was “thrown under the bus,” not fired.
“Okay, so she was thrown under the bus,” he continued while still laughing. “I love it. I love it. Barack Obama: ‘Elizabeth Warren has created one of the most important consumer agencies ever, and now I’m going to fire her.’”
“You had your fun,” Brzezinski scolded him. “You get to act like an idiot on the set. Now let me ask you a question–”
“Is that your defense mechanism to the truth?” Scarborough interrupted.
It got even more tense and more wild from there, with Brzezinski repeating her “idiot” charge and Scarborough during a Warren impersonation.
