‘You Run or Shut Up’: Bill Cosby All Grumpy Over Donald Trump’s 2012 Prospects

Bill Cosby was not in the most jovial mood when he appeared on the Today Show this morning–at least, not when the issue of Donald Trump’s 2012 prospects came up.

When host Meredith Vieira asked about Trump, Cosby said “Oh please with Donald Trump, take him home with you [!!]…he’s full of it.”

Cosby, you see, is annoyed that Trump is dithering on whether he will run. “You run or shut up…the only thing he’s running is his mouth.”

I have seen no evidence that Cosby is a supporter of Obama. I have seen evidence to the contrary. I can’t find any actual record of his position either way. I’m with him on calling out Trump. Even on the far-out chance that Pres. Obama wasn’t a citizen, do we really want this election reduced to that or would it be better for the country to have an election based on the issues? Trump is framing the debate for any & all candidates, whether that’s his intent or not, and it’s got to be making the Soros team just pain giddy.

Don’t think too deep about that, it’s just plain nuts. (Isn’t Trump too smart to be a naïve accessory?)

Trump may be good on spending, but not for the right reasons. Do you really think that he would reduce his executive power were he in office? I’m watching for a candidate to tell us which “powers” he would give back to the people, but I’m not holding my breath.

Bill Cosby gives us a perfect example of how the election of Obama has cut Republican free speech. If you criticize Obama…..we are called racists. I hope the next Republican can “bring it” (or “get in their face” as Obama says) and be strong like Donald Trump! By the way??? Why is it so hard for Obama to produce a birth certificate? Why does Bill Cosby, Chris Mathews, media and Dems suddenly snap like an African killer bee attack when a conservative politely asks for Obama’s birth certificate?

Good point. My dad (about the same age) has also gotten crotchety in his old age and thinks he’s right about everything. Cosby show in the 80s had a positive impact on the entire nation, I’d say. On the other hand, just because he had a good show way back when and is still given air-time to palaver on, doesn’t mean anyone cares what he has to say politically. No one cares what Whoopie has to say politically either.

I watched this earlier this morning and found myself very sad for Bill Cosby. In his own right he has done great things within the black community, but like most of the other black Americans, the thought of a black president is more important than a good president. he even said he loved Obamas dog and mother-in-law! Personally I am a fan of Dr. Ron Paul over everybody else, but do like the Dons economic plans… anyone who could amass a billion dollars, lose it all, and regain it again is one fine business man, and leader…Ron Paul-Donald trump….I would vote that ticket!

    I agree with Cosby here.

In the end, Trump is someone who looks good with his tough attitude and the whole birther thing (which I will admit he did a good job with). But he still supported Obama back in 08, gave money to Harry Reid in his race against Sharon Angle, gave money to other liberals during the last election, expressed that he would interfere in business transactions he would not alike thus disrupting the free market because everyone would become afraid of what he could do, and stated awhile ago that he supports universal healthcare. What makes anyone think he has changed? This man is not a conservative.

Further more, it is what it is…they DO have a better chance against Obama because they are black…he can’t pull the race card on either of them. If there was a white candidate that was better then either Cain or West I’d be all for him.

I am leary of Trump because of the backing of Raum (sp?) but I like his bluntness. Birth certificate search is a diversion! Obama believes he won’t be compelled to produce it. Even assuming he is a citizen born in Hawaii, he is not eligible because he is not a “natural born citizen” as required by the Constitution, meaning born on American soil of TWO citizen parents!

He is further disqualified for having dual citizenship by being born a British citizen under the British Nationality Act of 1948, as his father was a British citizen of colonial Kenya.

Why Obama is ineligible – regardless of his birthplace

Hey demint, the definition of racism is : The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, esp. so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

However, you are saying that it is racist to vote for someone on the basis of skin color. Historically, Americans, specifically democrats, have been racists towards black people.

It is time to move past skin color in this country I do not care what you look like, I only cre about how fiscally conservative you are.

I am an OIF vet and I live in Florida, so West is one of my congressmen that I voted for, oh and I am white, if that matters. I sincerely hope that Colonel Alan West will be our president one day, maybe not in 12 but at least in 16.
