      President Obama is neither stupid, or incompetent. He is, in my view, self-possessed and the product of a very dangerous blend of extreme leftist ideologies. He is the apparent product of nearly a dozen ideologies, which have nothing in common except that they are anti-American and against free, fair and open market trade. Obama’s policies, behaviors and statements are inconsistent and they often contradict one another, because they seem to be made in the moment – rather than being the products of policy and executive decision making – there is no process – no order – no logic, in my view.

      Obama, with millions of personal dollars, if fine with the state taking so much from him – if he has ten million liquid, and the state takes seven million – he’s still a millionaire three times over – and like so many rich people who did not earn it the hard way, he‘s blind to the calculus he’s all to happy to apply to the working well-off – those families working their cans off to earn 250,000. They are not “rich” and taking 70% in aggregate direct and in-direct taxes from them destroys them – which is what Obama wants, as this is where the professional class lives – this is where the Jews of the 1930′s were – the hard working profressional and small business class – tough, smart people who have made good on their dreams – who have worked decades to carvve out a decent life independent of the state. They are not rich by any means – but they are independent and they do not need, or want big government and it is this class of people that Obama fears and seems to hate so much – those he cannot control. Like the professional and small business class of the 1930′s, Obama proposes to destroy this same class here in America. We are all modern Jews – any of us that holds a professional degree, or has managed to build small independent businesses. The progressives hate us and as easily assign deragatory names to us today, as Hitler and his thugs did to the same class across Europe in the 30′s… and the people… they lined up and supported him in their 10s of millions, because they wanted what others had earned and the government said it was alright to hate them and take from them. What we are seeing is nothing new at all – it wasn‘t new in the 30’s and it is not new now.

      LKETCHUM makes a valid point. Obama has indicated on more than one occasion that the constitution is a hinderance to his vision of government. His regime consistently eats away at the “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” that we are guaranteed. Raising taxes on those who work hard to build a business and better themselves is a direct attack on the pursuit of happiness. Liberty will come next when talk radio and the internet are taken over and the guns are banned. The right to life is already under attack with limited health care for seniors or simply aborting children.

      I’m not into conspiracy theories but, it seems to me that things are being too easily orchestrated by Obama and his minions. Meanwhile, half the country is obsessing over whether or not he has a birth certificate. Yes, he was born, we, the people allowed him to be elected president, and now he’s taking advantage of the situation. The question remains, when will the people of this country say “ENOUGH”? Will we have to resort to bloody conflict as happened with Hitler and every other tyrant throughout history? I pray not!

      No, he’s not stupid or incompetent. He is doing exactly what he intended all along, it’s just not what the voters thought they were getting. He IS arrogant and obsessed with power and, like like Hitler, Mussolini and so many other “leaders” in past, that may prove to be his downfall. I live in hope.

      You two are basing your conclusion that Obama is neither stupid nor incompetent on the assumption that he is his own man, but what proof do you have of that? True, he has signed on to every leftist and/or totalitarian ideology out there, but to be able to handle THAT level of complexity on his own, he would’ve had to process and appropriate the info via some level of theorization. That is what intelligent minds do. On the other hand, a front man can act on behalf of colluding parties, and his status will be evident by his lack of wit, cohesiveness, cogency, creativity, theorizing, resourcefulness, and so on. Obama is the latter. He is the most glaring example of an empty suit in American political history.

      @KRYPTONITE. You may be correct, he may have started out as a simple front man which would explain how quickly he climbed the political ladder (with few questions asked). To dismiss him as simply “an empty suit” is to underestimate him. Maybe whoever IS pulling the strings did that as well. Hard to tell but seeing as many on the left are starting to squirm may indicate that he has gone off the script and is ATTEMPTING to be his own man. Obama’s mysterious past offers little for us to base any assessment on so it would be hard to prove either way. Just an observation on my part.

      I just read your reply. It‘s hard to know who checks back and who doesn’t. Well, just in case you do, I absolutely agree that he has been attempting to be his own man for a while now. After all, he is a narcissist, he has an insatiable lust for power, and he enjoys protected minority status, all of which makes him a very dangerous man. He has also deluded himself into thinking he is special. My point, however, is that he is not bright. If he were, he would have turned the tables on the powers that be a long time ago, like commie rulers often do. I don’t underestimate a commie, POIPNE!

    The President and the Dems “Talk” about protecting Medicare and Seniors… and that is all it is, talk.

    The reality, for any patient, and for those involved in healthcare delivery, know the truth of ObamaCare.
    Under ObamaCare right now, seniors are facing serious new and very high co-pays. Heart caths are costing seniors right now, $200.00 plus dollars more in co-pays. Seniors today, under Obama’s Care are paying more than $800.00 more per month for life-saving cancer treatments (chemo for ALS and MDS patients).

    The truth is, ObamaCare is costing everyone a lot more – especially Seniors on Medicare. The uglier truth is that in addition to these insane new fees Seniors are paying, employers have seen the premiums they pay skyrocket.

    I have seen and paid these new fees personally – as an employer, family member and patient and as a technologist that develops software for the healthcare industry. ObamaCare is costing every single one of us a great deal more money – all so the President and the left can largely provide healthcare to more than 23 million illegal aliens and their many children – in exchange for their illegal votes.

    I’m all for lawful entry into the United States – all may come through the front door and join us as Americans if they qualify, but make no mistake, ObamaCare is about lies and the biggest lie is about the biggest number – the masive number of uninsured being among the 23 million illegals that pay nothing into a system they are robbing blind – and Grandma and Grandpa are the ones paying – with their lives in many cases.

    The Democrats are not speaking from the truth and in some cases, they are lying through their progressive teeth.

      I lived in Arizona for 10 years and saw just what dreadful harm was done to many hospitals because they had to serve too many illegals. Two trauma units had to close down for lack of funds. It was a sad day. There has to be a way to keep the illegals from being able to vote when they are not citizens.

      What boggles my mind is why don’t most seniors get it? “Senior” is not necessarily synonymous with “senile”. Yeah, they are being disinformed, but STILL they should be able to make the connection between higher co-pays and Obamacare. Beats me.

      He is very evil and those around him are smart and evil and have this entire country in an uproar. He will be our dictator if he is not stopped. The sooner the better. This has been in the works for many years, but needed someone like Obama to see it through. The birther thing sounds like a trivial matter, but he has spent over $2M defending it and still not presenting a long form as required. Also there is a book coming out next month by some retired college professor that has recorded proof of his birth in Kenya by his paternal grandmother and other villagers. I wish I could remember his name, but I’m sure it will come up on my Amazon book list.

      So far as I have read your comments, you’re not quite getting the picture of what he meant. The health care bill is so entrenched and made that way from its onset that you can’t just defund it or repeal pieces of it, it was so well thought out since Wilson (or whenever) that you must think we’re stupid if you think you can get it stopped now. It’s so deep in the bowels of government and in some peoples mindset that (I) Obama can stop any attempt to stop it, “WE WEREN”T stupid on how WE did it”.

      It is unlikely Barry was a Jihadist and was most likely a drug mule if anything, maybe even a CIA street hire to haul Afghan heroin back to New York, so the Afghans could buy U.S. made stinger missiles with U.S. dollars to shoot down Russian helicopters?… I hired people over seas to do work below my pay grade all the time, even foreign nationals… I think this is the story Barry told the Saudi’s, but he was most likely really just a drug mule/dealer and probably still wanted on an outstanding warrant in New York.

      i dont know why you people dont know what is required to be a natural born citizen. mr obama may very well have been born in hawaii. but hes only got one american parent. for anyone to be consitered to be a natural born citizen you must have two american parents and be born here. so we dont need no stinkin birth certificate to know obama is NOT ELIGIBLE to be president. and to you mr glenn beck for someone who says you check everything do your own homework and look into this little tidbit youll see this is not about where he was born. he could of been squirted out on the white house steps and hed still not be a natural born citizen. dont take my word for this look it up for your self.

      That sound-bite should be played over and over and over on all media outlets. I don’t know about the people here on the Blaze, but that sound-bite sure got the hair on the back of my neck standing up, and not from fear. From real hard-core anger!

      This was not an accident as from what I read CBS left the mike on and they ran the story. CBS is a cheerleader for the left like MSNBC but CBS doesn’t have opiniators who tinkle down their leg when Obama won the election. THis was obama’s way of getting a message to his support base.       Did all of you miss the lesson on “mixed economies” in your high school civics class? While a progressive tax structure can be considered a “socialist” policy, it does not make a country a Socialist state. On the reverse side of the coin, while private ownership of property is a “capitalist” policy, it does not make a country Capitalist state.
      The U.S., like every other developed, Westernized nation, has a mixed economy. We can argue about how far in either direction we should go, but we shouldn’t even begin to call our system Socialist. By your logic, every president since Wilson (and a few before that) has been overseeing a Socialist government. Including Reagan.
      Would one of you please explain how, with taxes higher than they are today, and unions more active and powerful than they are today, our country flourished (on the whole, obviously there were hiccups) between 1932 and 1987? 55 years! 55 years at a tax rate higher than today’s rates. 55 years with stronger unions. We created a strong middle class. Unemployment was relatively low on average. People still became wealthy.
      The idea that a top bracket of 35-45% discourages people from becoming wealthy is tired and false. Do you truly believe that someone who thinks they could create a good or service that would make them 3 million dollars suddenly won’t because they will “only” be left with 1.5 million?
