ABC News’s embed code for the first video is not working properly. However, the liberal blog Think Progress has posted some video of the incident. Below you can see the second activist yelling in protest and subsequently getting kicked out of the event during a physical confrontation:

ABC News released video of a group of young protesters disrupting a briefing on immigration at Washington, DC’s National Press Club. The protest even got physical as reporters turned on the activists:
ABC News called the briefing a “birthright citizenship event” but provided no further details.
UPDATE:
Another video posted on ABC’s website shows another clip of the press conference. It appears to be a gathering of state lawmakers who oppose giving birth certificates to children of illegal aliens:

Why should illegals have the same rights as people who are citizens or are here legally going through the long process of immigration? They broke they law as soon as they crossed the darn border, came via boat, or over refused to go back when their visa expired. The law is the law and they should get picked up and sent back.

On that same note if you take away citizenship for illegal alien children (the foucs of this little gathering) it will NOT stop people from immigrating illegally.

And now the media spins it as violence, if they want to take that tack then what about the violence perpetrated by the Progressives that can’t even read a document the way it was written, they must be from the Illuminati or The Order of Not So Free Masons, they see it as coded speech to be interpreted as you need. Maybe English is not their first allegience.
The First Amendment Freedom of Religion or what part of the State openly creating a State Run religion like the Catholic Church in Itally or the Islamic Nations in the Middle East.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 3:42pmGS425, I agree, but I also regret that we as a nation chose to ignore the warning signs for so long. Our kids have been indoctrinated for many years. Our schools have become a breeding ground for radical socialist. If they could only understand that we are fighting this battle for them as well as our grandchildren.and future generations. I wonder how we can ever convince them before it’s to late.The calls for violence will involve our youth and that is very upsetting to me. We must teach our children ourselves the importance of freedom and explain the dangers of the progressive movement. As far as ABC goes, that is no surprise. There is greed and corruption within our society as well as DC. Many have selfishly chosen the progressive agenda knowing the cost to our freedom. Where is the loyalty to their country and to those who have fought and died to preserve it? The day will come when we won’t be here to speak out, I pray that our young people will wake up to the distruction and have the courage to continue this battle. When we are dead and gone this movement will still remain alive and well. We can only slow down the process but it will never cease to exist.

Report Post »We are not in the best shape here either, trashed, unsafe neighborhoods and higher crime and unemployment is what illegals bring with them from Mexico. The highschool kids can’t get a job washing dishes or bussing tables in restraunts or any of a thousand other jobs they used to get because these folks work for a pittance. Americans would do the jobs illegals do if the positions were not already filled by these people.

Once the Mexican women drop their babies they don’t even try to make sure they speak english. It really taxes the school system when kids are pouring in who speak little or no english, the schools wind up dumbing down the whole class to deal with the non-english speaking kids.

I volunteered, at a friend’s request, to mentor a local school. After retiring, he learned Russian and a neighbor asked him to help with a Russian boy who enrolled into the school. Unfortunately, he was not Russian, but Bosnian – so much for the Russian language help. There were four of us working with mainly Spanish speaking students (one on one). The teacher was Spanish speaking. While the kids the three of us worked with improved, and the teacher spoke to them in Spanish when she was beset by many students at once, the Bosnian kid spoke better English at year’s end than any of the other students we worked with.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 3:42pm@UNTAMEABLE-KATE- what they have done here is try and sell it as a great thing-your child will be fluent in spanish in three years. They set up this program at the elementary school because they had so many kids coming in that did not know english. So they came up with this idea, half the day is taught in spanish, the other half in english. The spanish speaking kids automatically got in, but the english speaking kids had to test to get in and it was on a first come first serve basis. The way they tried to sell this off to everybody, IMHO, was ridiculous. Kids can’t even learn the basics at school and they want them to learn it in spanish? What a bunch a cow dung.
Also, starting in the fall of this year, the school’s have implemented a new grading system: homework will not be graded, you can take a test over as many times until you pass it, if you are caught cheating, you can take the test over and it is the teacher’s discretion to determine your final grade. Talk about dumbing down our kids. Our city is trying to break away from this school district and form their own. Good luck with that one. Even if they do make that happen, my kids will never go to public school.
