Young Communists Launch National ‘Red School-Bus Tour’

Young Communists Launch National Red School Bus TourIt‘s communism that’s about 40 feet long and rolls along on four wheels. And it could be coming to a town near you.

The Southern California Young Communist League (YCL), a branch of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), announced on its website that it’s launching a “National Red School-Bus Tour.” The YCL calls each stop on the tour “weekend long schools” for “young activists.” So what exactly is this tour all about?

The blog P/Oed Patriot broke the story after it went digging. Here’s what it found:

According to the SoCal YCL’s website the “Schools” will include:

“lively classes and discussions: Marxism and the Political Moment: Building the movement for change; The Crisis of Capitalism Today: Causes of Crisis and the Class Struggle; Working Class and the Labor Movement; Racism, Immigrant Rights, women’s rights, LGTB rights and the struggle for equality; The CPUSA and YCL, envisioning Bill of Rights Socialism and how to get there. Also plenty of cultural, social and recreational activities.”

The group even has a video advertising the event:

The YCL doesn’t say exactly what the above-mentioned classes will include. But P/Oed Patriot, who notes that the Southern California YCL has a motto of “youth unite and fight,” wonders if the group’s mission statement could offer a glimpse. According to that statement, violent revolution is sometimes a necessary part of the “struggle”:

We do not believe in violence simply as a means to an end.  However, we support all forms of revolution, which historically have included violent forms but only were they successful or lasting and positive when the circumstances had called for it, when the assessment was correct (under fascism, extremely repressive and life-threatening conditions are set in place and creates justifiable responses) and ultimately if the end result is the achievement of a democratic, just society.

That leaves P/Oed Patriot left with one question:

Can we assume that if the conditions were right where a Violent Communist/Socialist Revolution could be Lasting and Successful that they would attempt it?

Conditions like …let’s say.. an Economic Crisis/Financial Meltdown in the United States?

Nah.. That’s Crazy…It would Never Happen

The tour is set to make stops in Los Angeles, Texas, Florida, and the Northeast between February and April. So if you you see a large, red school bus rolling down the street, it’s not Elmo peddling free internet, it’s just your friendly neighborhood communists.

    The Communist Party of the United States, or any successors of such party regardless of the assumed name, whose object or purpose is to overthrow the Government of the United States, or the government of any State, Territory, District, or possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein by force and violence, are not entitled to any of the rights, privileges, and immunities attendant upon legal bodies created under the jurisdiction of the laws of the United States or any political subdivision thereof; and whatever rights, privileges, and immunities which have heretofore been granted to said party or any subsidiary organization by reason of the laws of the United States or any political subdivision thereof, are terminated: Provided, however, That nothing in this section shall be construed as amending the Internal Security Act of 1950, as amended [50 U.S.C. 781 et seq.]

    The Subversive Activities Control Act of 1950 (SACA), a part of ISA, required Communist-action and Communist-front organizations and members of Communist-action organizations to register with the attorney general. Members of Communist-action organizations were barred from employment by the federal government, working in a private defense facility, getting passports, or receiving classified information. People who had been members of a Communist Party at any time were prohibited from entering the United States. The other part of ISA authorized the detention of spies and saboteurs during any national emergency declared by the president.

    The Supreme Court of the United States upheld the constitutionality of the Smith and ISA Acts in 1950, in Dennis v. United States, and in 1961, in Communist Party of the United States v. Subversive Activities Control Board.

    These two pieces of Legislation are still part of U.S Code and are still legally enforcable but are not ever used by EITHER party.

    Any American who is near one of these demonstrations should visit these communist and bring camera in hand. I would suggest not going alone as these hypocrits are the first one to start violence and or violate a persons personal rights. Video tape these loons, tape them putting a commie foot into there mouths. Be professional but dont be afraid to stand up for your constitutional right as a independent journalist.

    Call the PIO officer at the local police department and ask if you need to obtain credentials as a Independent journalsit according to your state statutes . Most states allow a citizen without news credentials to act as a independent jounralist at any event where police or city monies are used for crowd control, etc…It falls under the guidlines of general public use rule under that states statutes. Call your PIO officer to find out exactly how your municipality deals with independent journalist.

It takes almost 1000 people to unfurl and hold the flag up.       I like your ideas, everywhere it is preached,it should be defeated. Education is not happening in the schools. How about A bus full of Homeschoolers,stopping a day AHEAD of the commie superliner and running a presentation on liberty, Tea Party Style. Maybe G.B. would OK distribution of his specials on historical communist atrocities on DVD at these events. This could be really neat. I choose education first,…..not ruling out confrontation. I just prefer peaceful fun mockery.

      Texascommon sense – I keep hearing TeaParty people saying they will use history in order to debate – however most of that seems to be a heavily doctored version of history. For example, Tea Partier’s cling to the idea of American exceptionalism – that we must be far and away the greatest superpower in the world. Now while I don’t disagree that America is a great country and the only one I would ever like to live in, we must be careful. Every other country that has advanced the idea of their country’s exceptionalism has been had to contend with the world wide balance of power.

      For example, many prominent Roman’s spoke of Rome in the same manner, and the balance of power led several smaller nations to gang up and remove Rome from that position. The same thing happened with Napoleon’s France and The British Empire. Hubris is extremely dangerous – yet Beck’s history seems to ignore things like this.

      Your example about Rome isn’t entirely accurate. By the time it was finally destroyed, a multitude of internal issues had already eaten Rome alive and left it too weak to defend itself. The attacks against it at the end were staged primarily by loosely affiliated Germanic tribes which were more interested in land and plunder than rebalancing power. They certainly had their grievances with the Romans, but they went after the empire because it was rich and weak, not because it was too powerful.

      I think someone needs to put together a forum of the parents of these young people and see what they have to say about this, what are their core beliefs, and are they supporting this cause. Is this Spooky Dude funded? If they were my kids/grandkids they wouldn’t see a penny from me for the rest of their lives, including after my death.

      Fellow conservatives: please teach your kids the failed history of communism. Teach not only the violent history, but also the history of unsustainably. Teach them the about the number of people who died, both directly and indirectly, due to communists. Teach them about people like Mao Tse-tung, Joseph Stalin, Ernesto “Che” Guevara, Pol Pot, etc. Teach them of the failures of voluntary communism. Teach them about the Godlessness of communism. Communist leaders need you to not believe in God, but to believe in government. Please take the time to educate yourself first. No doubt you’ll find a lot more than we were ever taught in school.

      Schools are not teaching this at all anymore; they’re not teaching it for a reason.

      When did it become “cool” to be a communist? I guess just a lack of (accurate) history education in our schools. As others have suggested, they need to take a field trip to a true communist nation and spend a week living with an average middle class family there – these kids would freak out knowing exactly what it is they are pushing for.

      This is serious in my opinion this is really a recruitment and indoctrination drive, they will be able after they are finished to get a good idea of what they have to start trouble. How large a force , what area’s (States, cities) they are strongest and where they will meet the most resistance. First the revolution then the counter revolution to eliminate the hard line capitalist’s, Republican Politicians, registered Republicans and anyone who has history of voting and supporting conservative’s then some of their own because there will be many of them that will not like that they were not given good positions or witness to atrocities or simply no longer needed (useful fools).This is the standard play book for Communist’s ,Marx’s wrote about it and all who follow this ideology agree with it and there of course is a long tradition of doing things this way.

      Please stop in my town, I will openly challenge anyone on that bus to a civil debate. I would love to debate them in public in front of their fans and supporters. This makes me sick.       Sondergard – I’m not a communist or a liberal – I just found pretty funny/a little sad the comments above that were so fearful of a couple kids on a bus (ex. egging them, where is the mainstream media outrage?, we should never let them leave the parking lot, saying these people are the reason the U.S. is falling – whatever that means)
      it seems like there is so much anger in these posts, yet it can’t possibly be because of a couple kids on a bus who are likely only pissed because the baby boomers left them with a crap economy, an insurmountable debt and a state of political discourse that is laughable

      Scary stuff. All we can do is educate our children about America and what an awesome beautiful country we live in. Take time each week and read them a story about an American hero or event. Find movies on historical events and watch with your children. There are some great stories. The War of 1812 had some very “God” moments that point to what makes our country so great. The story about the first flag and the writing of the Star Spangled Banner by Francis Keyes is amazing. Educate them on the horrible atrocities of communism and marxism. Find out what is being taught in their schools. Review textbooks that are being used for history and social studies. (especially high school and college level). You would be surprised how slanted these books can be .

      The great communist Stalin was responsible for more deaths than Hitler was, roughly 22 million. But since the USSR was our ally in WWII that fact has long been hushed up.       This is a form of protest that requires a counter protest as these aholz do nothing but peddle jelousy and envy leading to hatred and resentment. The communists need angry people to program with their propaganda, and these young “useful idiot ” communists don’t understand that they will all be shot or imprisoneds as slaves in the “first purge” of useful idiots, post revolution. Communists do these periodic purges every time there is a revolution.
      Trust me as I’m an expert on this subject for my family escaped Soviet Armenia decades ago.

      Firstly, I’ll have you know that the vast majority of communists (Including the Communist Party of the USA) are Anti-Genocide; meaning it is ideologically against Stalin, Mao or whatever other “communist” dictator you want to pull out of the hat. The majority of the communists I know and the political parties are predominantly Leninist, and very rarely are they Stalinist. If you speak to any communist, they’ll denounce Pol Pot and even Mao. If any of you had actually taken the time to read the works of Marx and Engels perhaps you might not have been so easily brainwashed by the capitalists who rule you.
