Young Woman Found Dead at Home of Budweiser Heir

Young Woman Found Dead at Home of Budweiser HeirHUNTLEIGH, Mo (AP) — Authorities were investigating the death of a 27-year-old woman whose body was found earlier this week at the suburban St. Louis home of former Anheuser-Busch CEO August Busch IV.

Police and the St. Louis County medical examiner’s office on Thursday identified the victim as Adrienne N. Martin of St. Charles. An autopsy has been conducted but results could take four to six weeks.

Police were called Sunday afternoon to the home in the St. Louis suburb of Huntleigh and found Martin’s body. St. Louis County forensic administrator Suzanne McCune said there were no signs of trauma or illness.

Art Margulis, an attorney for Busch, said Martin was a friend of Busch who was visiting the home. He said there was “absolutely nothing suspicious” about Martin’s death.

“It was a tragic death of a young woman,” he said.

STLtoday.com, the website for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, quoted unnamed friends as saying Martin and Busch were dating. The Young Woman Found Dead at Home of Budweiser Heirnewspaper said Martin was the mother of an 8-year-old child.

Frontenac police, whose area of coverage includes Huntleigh, provided information in a faxed news release that did not say if the death was considered suspicious. Phone messages seeking an interview were not returned. The release did not say why news of the death was not announced until four days later.

The statement from police said the department received a 911 call at 1:15 p.m. Sunday about an “unresponsive person” at the home. Martin was deceased when paramedics and officers arrived, the release said.

McCune declined to speculate on the investigation or the cause of death. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch quoted an unnamed law enforcement source as saying the case was being investigated as a possible overdose. McCune would only say that an overdose was among the possible causes.

A woman identified as Adrienne Nicole Martin, from the St. Louis area and the same age as the victim, posted on the website iStudio.com that she was studying to be an art therapist and was hoping to become a model. “I really would like to do beer advertising,” the woman wrote in the posting.

Busch, 46, was chief executive at Anheuser-Busch from 2006 until the maker of Budweiser, Bud Light and other beers was purchased by InBev in 2008. The $52 billion merger created the world’s largest brewery. Busch remains a member of the board of directors for InBev.

The Post-Dispatch reported that Busch and his wife of 2 ½ years divorced in 2009.

In 1983, Busch, then a 20-year-old University of Arizona student, left a bar with a 22-year-old woman. His black Corvette crashed and the woman, Michele Frederick, was killed. Busch was found hours later at his home. He suffered a fractured skull and claimed he had amnesia. After a seven-month investigation, authorities declined to press criminal charges, citing a lack of evidence.

The rule of law was never intended for anyone involved in a $58 Billion merger, those laws are for the unwashed masses.

Let’s all cast guilty votes before we know the whole story, and what happened. I hear that it is the in thing to do; all the left is doing it, why not the right?

Does anyone actually listen to Glenn Beck’s message, or do you just listen to his comedy? Saying it is fishy is one thing; using this story to claim the rich get away with everything and don’t follow laws, or that he killed her is another.

Don’t want to pass judgment as to what happened with this women or against Busch IV, but he’s been in trouble with the law before and got off. She may have been on a cocaine binge . Normal 27 yr olds don‘t just die unless there’s an underlying medical condition. Wonder if it was him that called 911. Crappy time of year for that to happen, but no time is good..

So was I. There was August IV and the dead girl in the car in Arizona and his uncle/cousin/whatever he was who shot and killed a pal at the family home and skated on that (got probation for killing the guy and then had the audacity to ask the court for permission to leave the country to participate in polo matches in Europe).

Well let me see back in 83 he had a girl die and nothing happen, and i remember this case well because at the time i lived close to ASU and it was in all the papers and all over the TV news but nothing happen to him then, and why, because lets all say it together BECAUSE HES RICH, and now another girl up and just dies, ya right he will use his money, power and influence and nothing will come of this death either..

I hate to say it but in this country you have two sets of laws one for the rich and the other for the rest of us. One more case in point, Charley Rangel lied and cheated on his taxes and nothing happened to him now if that was one of us little people we would be still sitting in jail waiting for out trail, that we would lose and then we would be told how much more time we would be spending in jail.

The people i feel most sorry for will be the family of the girl who just died because just like the family of the girl he killed before they will get nothing but lip service from the cops and the run around from the district attorneys office and nothing closet to justice for there dead daughter!!!

We see this every day almost within the Senate and the White House; so why should it come as a suprise most of the rich will get off. THEY can at least afford the army of lawers it will take. One fact though is to be remembered, the accused are presumed innocent first – remember the case in which a zealous DA brought rape charges on three college kids who later were cleared by the feds?

Those kids reputations are forever tarnished by such accusations, and everyone wanted to string them up without a trial.

It indeed does smell fishy, as for the autopsy report, it could be that there is something they did find and are seeking to make 100% sure one way or another as to WHAT it is. Against a member of the Bushe family, they will need proof of wrongdoing cast in titanium and laid out on a concrete foundation.

      @DagneyT
My sister passed away in July of this year and I did not have a cause of death until November. Part of the problem was the condition of the body made a positive ID difficult (not the case in this matter), but the toxicology reports seem to take forever. I don’t know enough about it to know “why” they take so long. In the end it was Hypertensive Cardiac Disease. I sympathize with this young lady’s family…an autopsy should not be needed unless there are signs of foul play. The ME will refuse to release the body for memorials so they can slice them up, and you are at a stand still with insurance company’s, creditors and so on until you have a “cause” of death…most will not talk to you with DC’s that state “Pending.”

the Busch family tried to buy up most copies of this book and persecuted the two St Louis reporters/authors::

Under the Influence: The Unauthorized Story of the Anheuser-Busch Dynasty

in hardcover it is selling for $976.00 and $1266.37 for a copy here on Amazon

For example – one of Gussie’s daughters or sisters moved to Germany and built a castle at the start of WW2 … she thought the Fuhrer had the right ideas … they had to kidnap her and bring her back so it wouldn’t hurt the brand which took off after it was distributed to the troops in theater during the same war

You and I driving a car with someone in the passenger seat. We have an accident. The passenger dies., We claim amnesia. Yea Right! We wake up in the cross bar hotel. doing 10 – 20 making little rocks out of big rocks. Money still talks louder than ever these days. Especially if you are in the Obama administration.
