Report Post »Obama uses behavioral control and hypnosis techniques to manipulate us. The mainstream media is owned by the “intellectual elite and world bankers” (David Rockefeller, 1991), which makes it easy to constantly use these strategies. We must think very carefully about everything that the Obama administration says and/or does. We should take everything with a grain of salt, realizing they speak with forked tongues.

Posted on April 1, 2012 at 4:29pmWhat we need to do is change our presumptions about privacy issues. Privacy is a property of an individual, and therefore any information about any individual should be paid for. Those who gather data should be liable to every individual whose data is tracked. How you could establish a fair market value for the information gathered should not be all that difficult add 30% to the cost of gathering the data and use as a reasonable fee to pay the individuals who agree to be monitored.
empower the individual instead of the collective.

Posted on March 29, 2012 at 5:28pmHackers can invade our computers at will. The IRS says that as many as 500k refund checks may be stolen this tax season. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2012/02/23/identity-thieves-have-a-new-target-your-tax-return-money/ I have developed a system that will make it impossible for hackers to gain access to your computer. After my ebook was published on AMAZON I discovered that the US Military has been using a system with very similar logic and has not been attacked or infected in 10 years. http://www.spi.dod.mil/. only you dont need to take a workshop to use my system. my ebook “How To Protect Your Computer From Hackers viruses And All Malware” is available on AMAZON and it will show you how to safely access the internet. It is the only book on the market that shows you how to safely access the web.

Posted on March 29, 2012 at 3:18pmThe government is NOT up to the challenge. Have any of you heard of Anonymous, LuhlsSec, or AntiSec? They have already hacked many major organizations including Stratfor, the FBI, CIA, etc. i have been forced to research them as my son the stupid genius was recently picked up for being a part of these groups. They brag that the idiots in the FBI use the same passwords for everything, and it was simple to get classified info. I‘m not of the opinion they’re idiots (they got the “genius”), but if they break rules that any sixth grader knows, can we trust them to protect us?

Posted on March 29, 2012 at 2:57pmHaving been in the Cyber Security industry for over 25 years, this is one panel I wish I could weight in on. Clearly there are risks; from individuals, vigilantes, terrorist and let us not forget nation states. Turning over any more of our privacy / security to our own government may not be in the best interest of the people. Yes, there is a place for government to aid in our security but clearly not at any more loss of our privacy. The technology and behaviors are well known to the InfoSec community. I guess we need to do a better job of getting that word out there and educating rather than scaring the masses. I dare say, we have some critical infrastructure vulnerabilities that take top nation state priority to protect and that is really where we need our federal efforts.

Posted on March 29, 2012 at 8:19amI was appalled to see such support for the federal government taking charge of cyber security. I believe S.E. said something to the effect of relinquishing certain liberties to ensure safety. It just had me shaking my head in disgust. I realize the threat from hackers is real and can be devastating, but I cannot believe the threat from government oversight would be much better. The government does such a terrible job at most of the tasks it endeavors to accomplish.

Posted on March 29, 2012 at 1:28pmAgreed. S.E. and the rest of the panel assume that because they are technologically-retarded when it comes to cyber-security the rest of us MUST BE. Because they feel this way they get scared and immediately go to Big Brother for help. It’s ridiculous! Do they not understand the similarities between this and any other criminal activity out there??? Just because it‘s a new form doesn’t mean it can’t be handled the same way. Do they honestly think that there isn’t a market out there for companies to protect you by selling their services as a cyber-security firm? There are already companies out there that do it.
Our government doesn’t have a monopoly on cyber-security. There are plenty of companies out there that could more effectively protect us and hold the required free-market risk that a business should have to effectively operate inside the free-market. That risk is what creates accountability that normal businesses have and in-accountability which the government has; it’s that same in-accountability that makes our government inefficient, reckless, and unproductive in doing jobs they were not given Constitutional right to do.

Posted on March 29, 2012 at 3:40pmI watched this live last night and whoever chooses the clip here ( I assume Scott Baker) does a disservice to the segment and show. The first part, not shown here, was far more substantive, Sexton laid it out intelligently with his libertarian bent and anti government intrusion beliefs. This clip gives a lop sided view and is the most superficial part of the segment. Come on Blaze you can do better.

Posted on March 29, 2012 at 12:26amI was surprised to see panel members suggest that the federal government should be in charge of cyber security for private industry. One look at the Border, TSA, post office, schools, or anything else the fed is involved in.
Report Post »Private industry is much better at these types of disciplines and when they fail they can be fired and not promoted.
We need to reduce the size and scope of the fed. We really can survive without federal employees doing everything.
