Zetas Cartel Strikes Again: Seven Dismembered Bodies Found in Sinaloa

(The Blaze/AP) – Mexican police have found seven dismembered bodies in a Pacific Coast state where the country’s most-wanted man is battling its most aggressive drug cartel.

The attorney general’s office says the bodies were found early Tuesday in Sinaloa along with a message accusing authorities of cooperating with drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.

Guzman is head of the Sinaloa cartel, and the letter’s wording suggests that it may have been written by the Zetas cartel.

The bodies were found stuffed into 13 black garbage bags and dumped in a residential area, authorities said. The victims were dressed in police uniforms but authorities confirmed none of the people killed were actually officers.

The Zetas have launched tit-for-tat attacks on Sinaloa strongholds since Sinaloa cartel gunmen and their allies moved in on Zetas turf.

Last week, suspected Zetas took the unusual step of using an airplane to drop thousands of leaflets accusing Sinaloa’s governor of taking orders from Guzman.

It is the most gruesome instance of drug cartel violence since the decapitated, mutilated bodies of 49 people were found strewn across a Mexican highway earlier this month.

The victims had their hands, feet and heads cut off. The Zetas cartel is also thought to be responsible for those murders, living up to their title as one of Mexico’s most deadly cartels. Police eventually arrested Daniel Jesus Elizondo Ramirez, also known as “El Loco” or “The Crazy One,” in connection with the killings.

It is becoming seemingly impossible to keep track of the death toll in Mexico’s drug war, which is now around 55,000 since December 2006. Roughly 50,000 additional people have disappeared.

OK, my BS threshold must be very low this AM because I can’t tolerate any discussion at all about our southern border.

If we were capable of putting a man on the moon by a gang of guys who still used slide rules, do you think we could seal the Mexican border if we were serious about it? The Israelis know how to build a fence, mimic their design; or, just hire the contractor that built theirs to build ours.

The powers that be who give orders to the elected officials (front men), want the border open for the drug and human trafficking. Oh, I almost forgot that the open border facilitates the Muslim jihadists who pour through there every night, supplying their safe houses in the US with guns, ammo and explosives.

Conclusion: The border has remained porous because that’s really the policy of the US; and, the rising body count doesn’t matter at all to those in power, now or in past administrations.

My mexican wife said that maybe some are getting away with murder by imitating this kind of display of drug cartel members. Mexican people have troubles as much as anyone else in the world. What better way to off your irresponsible husband then to make it look like a Cartel hit?

They’re here just as much as Mexico. That’s their business, being here too.

The question you want to ask yourself is how come they don’t distribute the body parts of their victims here too.

“The Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre is the name given to the 1929 murder of 7 mob associates as part of a prohibition era conflict between two powerful criminal gangs in Chicago: the South Side Italian gang led by Al Capone and the North Side Irish gang led by Bugs Moran. Former members of the Egan’s Rats gang were also suspected of having played a significant role in the incident, assisting Capone.”

Mexico is now a failed state. There is no law and order. The War on Drugs is a failed policy for both countries. Our government has had their dirty hands all over this problem. From backing one cartel over another, selling guns to drug dealers, to allowing banks like Wells Fargo and other TBTF banks to get away with laundering drup money (boo..hoo… they got fined yet no jail time)

    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-06-29/banks-financing-mexico-s-drug-cartels-admitted-in-wells-fargo-s-u-s-deal.html

The war on drugs just like the unconstitutional wars across the globe are too big of a money maker for the new police state and the military/police contractors. But hey, the “conservatives” support the all of the “war” efforts, except the war on poverty. Unfortunately, none of our “war” efforts are working.

The world is upside down; lies are now truth and right is now wrong.

Mexican drug cartels have expanded the scope of their U.S. operations over 300 percent in two years, from operating in at least 230 cities in 2008 to more than 1,000 cities in 2010, according to a comparison of the U.S. Justice Department’s National Drug Threat Assessments.

“Law enforcement reporting indicates that Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTOs) maintain drug distribution networks or supply drugs to distributors in at least 230 U.S. cities,” said DOJ’s 2009 report, which contains data on the presence of Mexican DTOs from January 1, 2006, through September 30, 2008.”

A much different time than when Mexicans were fighting to defend their religious freedoms as in the true story movie “For Greater Glory”.
A wonderful, but intense movie in the early 1900′s, with Andy Garcia and Eva Longoria now in limited theaters.

I used to own a timeshare in Mazatlan. I sold it in 1990 following a vacation there. We went a silver mining town in the mountians above Mazatlan. The owner of the restaurant we ate at was an American. He told us to leave before sundown. It seemed the cartels would ambush cars. We decided to sell because we didn’t want to put our children in danger.

yup. its bad enough that our federal government makes up rules as they go along (without constitutional amendment)….But then they pressure/make other countries enforce the US standard – which results in extra corruption and violence. All because americans are hooked on drugs.

People in central america are suffering because of our drug addictions

Problem being that the progressives don’t know jack about actual jobs, so the pobrisito frijoles just wanting to trabajo, can’t and some are getting caught up in the middle, and we will never know the actual numbers of dead. So to refresh; progs know jack about work, lefties suck down too many illicit drugs, and “right wingers” as you refer to us, aren’t allowed to shoot either group of worthless wankers and the cycle continues. Nice.

      LOL – good one.

But actually you make a clear distinction. NO – I am not a supply sider and this is a perfect example. US government thinks if they get rid of all drugs – there will be no drug users (supply side)….Hoewver, I think that if the government gets rid of drugs – there will still be people wanting/demanding to use drugs. I believe the reason we have drugs is because there is a HIGH DEMAND, not because there is a high supply. Also, based on market fundamentals, you could easily say the drug market is under-supplied (based on price, black market, risk, etc).

Never thought about it in those terms – thanks. Maybe our drug war problem is really just the government not knowing free market economics!!
