  I have had it with these F^&*()NG politicians. I was in command of a Cav Troop in OIF 1(Invasion) and got extended into OIF 2. Remember Sadr and the battle of Najaf April 04. I have also fought in Afghanistan. These idiots are clueless! A more humane way of fighting a war? The only way is killing more of them with extreme destruction until they quit. Only a hadfull of them (LTC West, great man who I heard of his heroics while I was in Baghdad 03, he was in the Tikrit area) have a damn clue what the hell war is about. Most these morons need to understand first hand what we go through daily. WAR IS HELL no matter what technology is being used.

  As an actve duty US Army Officer who just happens to be a Contracting Officer I claim BS that the NOAA order was a clerical error. I have been on FBO hundereds of times and there is no way that someone posted a commodity of ammunition and meant to post for something else. I saw the solicitation and it looked legit to me. There are too many filters to erroneously post something like that what is called the Government Point of Entry for contracts. KInd of curious why these GOVT agencies are going to Fed Biz Opps for ammo since there is a National Stock Number for it. I had a unit try and order Ammo this way years ago and there are certain laws that pertain to purchasing it. Maybe these laws only apply to the military but I am not sure.

  Interesting to see why these purchases are taking place.

  I beleive he just set us up for the 2nd US Civil War. Since the founding of this country in 1776 roughly every 80 years there is a major change in the way the country is run. 1776-1783 we had the Revelutionary War. 80 years later 1861-1865 the Civil War. 80 years later 1941-1945 WWII. Yes there were numerous wars inbetween but nothing on the scale of these major changes. 2021-2025 I beleive will be another major shift. Most likely another Civil War. 80 years ago we were in the midst of the Great Depression which led to WWII. Our economy sucks right now just as id did then. The gun issue will be the spark that sets all of this off. Thank a Dem for this one. I just hope that Scalia’s comments were based upon getting the Republican base fired up for the upcoming election. If not then bad things are in our future.

  I unfortunately grew up in that god for saken state. Moved away 21 years ago because I couldn’t handle the people any more. Most are either brain dead or get into your business.

  I have been following LTC West since I was in Iraq in 2003. I was a Cav Troop Commander (not his unit) at the time of his incident. I think it was in the fall of 03 when the incident occured. Can’t remember how I heard it but applauded his actions at the time. IED’s were becoming an ever increasing problem for us as we all were driving around in unarmored HMMWV’s. I wish my higher HQ’s and other BN CDR’s had the balls LTC West has. As I was a cadet I was told by my ROTC BN CDR that there might come a moment that I would have to make a career destroying decision in order to save soldiers. LTC West made that decision. I would have followed that man to the ends of the earth if I ever had the opportunity. He is the type of leader that the military is lacking.
