I’m sorry but I don’t see this choice as humble or frugal. It seems more foolish and thoughtless. How does a man holding such a position as Pope able to have the opportunity for reflection, prayer and discernment in this type of living arrangement? How about his security detail? How will they do their job without imposing severely upon the other tenants living there? This is similar to the claims of his humbleness with regards to the red shoes. The red shoes represent the blood of the martyrs. I only knew one man in my lifetime who wore red shoes (besides the Pope(s)). We teased him incessantly that he was a wannabe pimp and for that matter he did use illegal substances on a regular basis. It takes far more humility for a man to wear red shoes than it does to wear the old black ones. This Pope seems to lack the respect for this office that it deserves. Somethings, whether you appreciate or like them, carry far more symbolism and importance than one mans opinion of them. The way the MSM is lapdogging this Pope should be a red flag to all. I sincerely hope and pray that my gut here is wrong…I am Catholic and proud of it…but the hair is standing up on the back of my neck for the past week. Please keep your eyes wide open. I’m not so sure we are going to appreciate all this “hope and change” we hearing about. Sounds like an instant replay of a bad movie we’ve been watching lately.

Vern’s signs bring a smile to my face every time I drive by them. They are in the middle of a field well off the highway that goes by. If his trailer had the name of a beer or snack cakes on the side no one would have a problem…why is his opinion/definitions any different than all the garbage written all over every other semi trailer on the road? Someone doesn’t like the message??? Well guess what, I don’t like the messages I see with swear words on bumper stickers for my children to read…or the billboards with half-naked people on them…or rolling beer commercials…at least Vern’s trailers are teaching something worth learning.

What is wrong is that this person is not allowed to have an opinion without the world jumping down all over him. If someone wants to have a community of only whites/blacks/purples/polka-dots, why can’t they? Isn’t that true freedom? Isn’t that what he is saying? Let local communities decide for themselves. Certainly it would be an issue for state/federal government if passing through someone were harmed. I want to live in a country where I can choose for my family that which I believe to be best. I personally don’t believe it “best” to be segregated. I believe we are all creations of God and I love how incredibly creative God is in our colors, shapes and sizes, gifts and talents. I prefer to embrace those creative differences. Having said that, I really don’t want to hang with someone who gets all hung up on another person’s color, big nose or abilities. I really would prefer they have their own private little community. They will be happier and so will I. Why not let them have their little corner of the world and let me have mine?

Shame on you…is this how you feel about teachers, coaches, uncles, and neighbors?

Prophecy is not just for the Old Testament…God speaks to us today through prophets. The world laughs at them today just as they have for time memorial. We will wait and see what Pope Francis will bring to us. Be wary if the MSM likes him. Here is an article that was posted this afternoon with the other side of the picture: http://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-horror-buenos-aires-journalist.html Let us all pray that this is not a true picture of who he is…Catholic or otherwise. The Pope has an effect on the whole world, so it matters. FYI…Peter the Roman is not an earthly Pope, he is the heavenly Pope that will lead the remnant Catholic Church that will be forced underground by the False Prophet. If you are interested in current prophecy that is demonstrating its validity by the happenings of these days, check out: http://www.thewarningsecondcoming.com/messages/latest-messages/ These messages foretold the exit of Pope Benedict XVI a year ahead of time. God is preparing a wake up call for us all…when you see the Cross in the sky know that within days you will see yourself as Christ does, fall to your knees, ask for forgiveness and mercy. Allow your heart to be changed by the Love of God for the Love of God! Peace to all!

I have been listening to Rand’s filibuster for the past few hours. God bless, protect and provide him HIS voice. He is a true American Hero. Thank you Rand and Senator Cruz for fighting the good fight! It is wonderful to see a couple of true statesman in D.C.

This is just another tool to be used to degrade and poke fun of Americans who are tired of government gone wild. Let’s minimize and marginalize, take the position of the Tea Party to the extreme so that we can make people embarassed to admit they believe in the values of the Tea Party. No different than what main stream media did by casting the Tea Party as rascist and violent extremist. Those who have been to a Tea Party gathering know how untrue this typecast is. Unfortunately, those who share the values of the Tea Party but have never participated in an event, begin to buy in that the Tea Party is a fringe group. Divide and conquer. Just because the founders of WWE are Republican does not make them Tea Partiers! We use to say, someone didn’t leave the Democrat party, the Democrat party left them. Now we can say the same about the Republicans. The Republican party is pretty much the right wing of the Democrat party…they are one in the same. The Tea Party is a whole new animal in its infancy. This is just another “bully” beating up the little kid down the street. Well guess what, the little kid is someday going to grow up and teach the bullies to clean up their act.

A sad story. I can’t say I am surprised by the manipulation of this woman by the legal system. Evil lurks around every corner looking for someone to devour. Thank Heaven that we have a forgiving and merciful God. No sin is too great to be forgiven.

I had to run for the vomit bucket. The video was disgusting. I felt like I was watching the devil himself and a XXX video to boot.

Regarding the issue of abortion…it was, is and always will be wrong. A vicious crime against an innocent child.

I fear there is no hope for America when I watch video’s like this. I fear there is no hope for the world when the worldometer on 1/23/2013 counter is already at 2,641,500 and counting of abortions so far this year globally.

Get ready, God is about to shake some sense into us all. Lord have mercy on us.

Oh my goodness, Alex you blew that yell fest! Piers is an idiot and he is wrong on the entire debate…but Alex you are on his show with his viewers…they like him…you came off like a nut case! The mocking accent signed sealed and delivered you as a nut job to be laughed at. Next time breathe a little and stay on topic…you so should have won this encounter if you wouldn’t have slipped over the edge. Be the voice of reason and watch the video posted on this site, “Amidst the Noise” before you do another interview.

I listened on the radio as they discussed school security. They talked about how schools might need to be secured with locked gates and security around the perimeter that no one can get through without going through check points! My first thought was, yes, this would be part of the plan to further separate us from our freedoms in the name of safety. This is a horrible tragedy, but lets not be so quick to give the government more opportunity to put our children behind locked gates that parents cannot penetrate without security’s approval…normalizing this environment. Sometimes freedom has risk.

Not everyone who plays on a team can be the “best” or the “star” of the team, yet they are still needed. There isn’t enough info here to really make the judgment call on the coach. Did they let the 2nd and/or 3rd string players have a full game and let the stars find out what it is like to support someone else and be the cheerleader for their teammates? There is much more to learn from sports then just winning! You can still win the game and teach some great lessons without humiliating others. This is high school ball, not college or pro.

RanePowell, you are not looking at the 250K comment objectively. I own a small business. I put everything I own on the line…everything. I downsized my house and pulled the equity out to finance my business. I sacrifice 80 hours a week. I’m there long after everyone else goes home. I fight every week to make payroll. I haven’t seen a paycheck in 2 years. I can’t sleep at night thinking about my employees families and how much they count on their jobs in this economy. If I was as selfish as you think I am, I would have quit and closed the doors 2 years ago. I could lose everything…the business, my sweat equity, my home. When the company turns the corner (which will be next to impossible with the coming regulations) and it finally makes a little money, I will be the evil greedy capitalist who is selfish and doesn’t care about my workers. Quit listening to the divisive garbage being spewed about by the folks who do truly want to enslave Americans. Get real, if you only want to “risk” 40 hours of your life waiting for your next paycheck, then you get paid according to your risk. If you choose to put it all on the line (and in today’s world – a hope and a prayer) well then you should be rewarded accordingly.

Encinom, you have misread the article. We in Michigan shot down the initiative to bar the right to work legislation. We want right to work laws here. The initiative wanted to force more unionization in the state. I have never needed a union to represent me, though I have been forced to pay union dues. When I worked in a union office, I was pulled aside by my union steward and told I needed to slow down and do less or I would set the standard too high for others. That was my first taste of a union, and it was a bad taste that stuck. Every encounter I have had since with a union has been a protection of bad employee practices, not representing the little guy like they try to play it. They chose to go out on strike when they were the highest paid employees in the city. While on strike, union employees caused damage to vehicles and threatened truck drivers with ball bats smashing their windows while driving. This is America, we should be free to choose if we want to belong to an organization or not. Think it through Encinom. How would you like to be forced to pay dues to an organization that you don’t agree with? The people in Michigan voted it down. Watch the video, it is just plain bad manners to act in such a ridiculously rude manner. The visual unfortunately represents the truth of unions…in your face and fighting for all the wrong causes.

The Church would do well to take O’Reilly’s advice on this one. Stand up for truth or we will all lose the right to stand up for anything. Abortion is murder, pure and simple. When a society can slaughter their own babies and talk about the right to do so in the public square, they had better prepare themselves to suffer the wrath of God. Life is His to give and take. My heart breaks for our country and the darkness that is covering it. Beg God for mercy for our country. Pray that He will remove the scales from our eyes so that we may repent and turn from our evil ways.

Sorry, I just am not buying it that the elections were not rigged for the outcome we all seem to be accepting. I sure hope someone is checking the list twice…I am betting there were some pretty underhanded deeds that transpired.

I am not a fan of President Obama or Valerie Jarrett. I will be as thrilled as anyone when they leave the White House and the Presidency. America has paid a heavy price with their presence. With that said, let’s please cool the hate-filled comments folks. As my Mom always said, “Don’t drop to their level, it just doubles the ignorance and hate.” Let’s just focus on how to fix America and let them fall into the history books as the mistake they were. God bless our elections and America.

Sorry, but the photos didn’t capture the “creepiness” of his locked on glazed over stare. Had to watch the debate for the full effect. It was one of the points we discussed as we watched…President Obama looks like a mean guy. If you watched the debate without listening to the words, I am pretty confident most people would not like Obama at all…his facial expressions and body language were not “likeable”. Add the tone and nasty little jabs and the only ones who are going to like President Obama are his devoted worshippers that won’t change their mind no matter. President Obama showed his dislike and disrespect for Romney throughout. To me the foreign policy debate shows a considerable amount about who the players are as negotiators sitting across from the table. Who would you rather have representing your side…Mr. Mean or Mr. Respect? Somehow I think Mr. Respect will get more concessions and cooperation at the table of negotiation than Mr. Mean.

Every organization that works with children must be diligent in watching for this type of perversion…it comes with the territory. Pedophiles always look for those opportunities to be close to children. We are seeing the reality of people who meant to look for the greater good instead of the individual that was harmed. Another example of cronyism at work. The Catholic Church has taken the brunt of the outrage for this horrific sweeping under the rug…will the Boy Scouts suffer the same outrage? We must demand these organizations take responsibility for protecting our children by doing their due diligence beforehand and taking swift action should these horrible acts of violence occur. Thank goodness the rugs have been pulled and we can shine the light of truth in all the dark corners.

Okay, I thought Chris Matthews was the top of the idiot list at MSNBC, but I guess Lawrence is looking to dethrone Chris! I cannot believe what I just watched…just curious what MSNBC has to say about this stupidity? MSNBC is an example of what kind of trash comes with freedom of speech, thank goodness we also have freedom to not watch…at least for the moment.
