I must add, I’m really shocked that Texas is letting all of this progressive garbage bleed into their state. I would have expected Texas to be the last place you would find this. Meanwhile, my school system just rejected Common Core and I live in Georgia, a red state for sure, but we have pretty substantial pockets of liberalism here, mostly in Atlanta and around the universities. I guess it’s true, you have to be vocal and stand for what you believe no matter where you live.

Jake I think a lot of conservatives are unaware of the Monsanto and GM foods issue. I have been interested in organic gardening for years, which is usually thought of as the purvue of hippies and other lefties, but this has been talked about in those circles for years. I think many conservatives have only become interested in it in the last several years, thanks to the popularity of diets like Paleo and others. There’s a LOT of creepy BS that goes on with these companies. Farmers have been fighting this for a while but unfortunately the ones that are fighting it are not usually the big corporate farms so their complaints have been brushed off. Hopefully if enough consumers start fighting it someone will take up the cause.

Yeah….Um…Jodie? We knew. We have known since the Bad News Bears. We don’t actually care. I agree with you on the privacy thing, but then you turn 180 degrees and expose yourself. Make up your mind, either you like privacy or you don’t.

The only people who care about any of these awards shows are the people who get nominated for them. They need to go back to doing them like they did the first few Oscars: 35 minutes, in an out of the way hotel, and not televised. That all the material that’s worth knowing about folks. These 3-4 hour ceremonies with all of the horrible performances and retrospectives and jokes…no. Just…no.
