  First of all as a former paratrooper we always cross loaded personnel in the event a bird went down so as to be able to continue the mission. A CH $7 Chinook (“Shithook”) is a big clumsy troop carrier used as the CH stands for Cargo Helicopter. To put that many Special Operations forces on one bird that big and that slow amazes. I understand they are used in the AO due to the altitude in which they operate, however, these folks usually use choppers out of Ft, Campbell flown by the best aviators. I can’t remember the unit but they are soley for for Special Operations. Something stinks. So some rock ape with a RPG just happens to be in the AO and takes a pot shot at the bird and takes it down with all these special operator on board. Hmmm.
