DEVIL_DOG, thank you for your service and for the compliment.

As Gremlin said, morally you might want to take this guy out, but we would be in the wrong for doing so.

Bradden got angry and made a mistake (shooting at his wife), he probably would have gone to jail for a year or something, maybe even less and get a dishonorable discharge, but now he may be going away for a long time.

Although your brought up a good point, this guy is sitting in the car and Mr Antell shows up pointing a gun at him, in this case, he has the right to defend himself, and he did. He may get out of this. I will have to follow this case. I am interested in the outcome from a LTC perspective

I am reposting this as a new comment.. I posted this as a response first so forgive the double posting..

I am in TX and in the pat 2 months took 3 training classes, the last one using simunition in realistic situations. (One of the situations was similar, you pull into a gas station and someone is beating someone else with a bat. I chose to call the police and not interact with the 2 “hoodlums” fighting it out)

The shooter ran to his vehicle and was trying to get away (probably realizing he was in trouble). He only fired one shot and was not actively chasing after his wife to shoot her or anyone else. At that point there was NO threat to either Braddens wife or Mr. Antell. Mr. Antell was now acting as police. It also appears he got close enough to Bradden that he lost his gun.

While I understand that when good people fail to act, evil will prevail, but in this case it was poor decision making on Mr Antell’s part.

Think about this, what the video camera at Wall Greens will show. Mr Antell actually approached and confronted Bradden with his gun drawn. He looks like the aggressor at that point.

While we can what if this all we want, what actually happened is different. If Bradden was still shooting it is a whole different story. If you are going to carry concealed, once the threat is over, you cannot pursue and shoot.

I know many of you have posted about shooting this person, but if he is in the car sitting or getting ready to leave & not a threat, you will be charged.

GloryBe2, Texas has similar laws.. always have, but I would not want to test them for something that would be covered by my insurance. Why risk your freedom over 1000$ or even 10000$ worth of stuff that your insurance will pay for? And, even if you are cleared of criminal charges you can still face a civil suit.

Unfortunately I am not following your rant on Zimmerman

    Cool!! EXPLODING targets, what fun

Who is this idiot? Grant obesity kills more people each year than guns. And your generation is the worst when it comes to fatness. Sitting around playing video games and eating and getting almost no exercise. So if you really cared about your generation you should be trying to ban video games, pizza, forks and spoons. that would save more people than any gun laws.

In reply to the contribution When It Comes To Guns, Why Can't We Listen?

This guys should be fired, he’s an idiot. First off, who cares what the media thinks anymore? The old established media are dinosaurs. Most of the readers agree with all of the statements above.

BTW sin is sin, and we all are predisposed to sin, some of us have the discipline to think about it before we blatantly sin. Can’t waste any more time on this doofus

The end times prophecies all relied on the fact that Israel would be a nation again. That did not happen until 1948 so even though things may have happened before, it wasn’t time because Israel didn’t exist. Now that Israel exists again, there is no telling what will happen. It is all in God’s hands and we need to trust in Him, but the 2nd coming of Jesus could not occur unless the nation of Israel existed.

When I read this article point 2 and 3 were exactly what I thought. I would like to add, it takes a lot of money to file bankruptcy, those lawyers don’t work for free. People usually do it to save their house etc. I would be interested in Ch 7 alone, I bet a lot of these are Ch13, re-org of debt, where Ch7 is basically walking away from the debt.

Actually, it says right in the story this flag is in violation of the US Code, guess nobody reads the actual article

Everyone is free to express their sexual preferences in the Military in any way they want, but this flag flying on a military base is in violation of Title 4 of the U.S. Code.

    More specifically Title 4 U.S. Code – Section 1:

Flag; stripes and stars on: The flag of the United States shall be thirteen horizontal stripes, alternate red and white; and the union of the flag shall be fifty stars, white in a blue field.

The flag I saw is a parody of the American Flag with 50 white stars in the union, smeared with the rainbow colors as the stripes. The moment the flag took on the union stars is where it becomes a violation, with my understanding of the U.S. Code.

I have been saying the same thing for years now, stopped watching HGTV real estate hunters when it seemed like 1 of out every 3 “couples” were gay. Nothing against this very small minority of people, but when it is pushed as main stream and normal I have had enough.

This person on the base should be fined and dishonorably dischared from the AF

In general I am compassionate regarding special needs people and those with sick family members. The problem is stupid laws and regulations and people who can’t think for themselves and blindly try to enforce the laws. Now, this family just seemed to want to push buttons when it wasn’t needed. Honestly, having a 3 year old on you lap the entire flight doesn’t seem reasonable. They are not infants. I have mixed feelings around this and can go either way, but in the end, delaying the entire flight by an hour is very selfish. Have consideration for other people. That is one of my main pet peeves, people no longer consider their impact on others.

The driver who was filming was in the left lane doing 60, with what appears no other traffic. She should be in the right lane. It is very agitating to have people hog the left lane when there is no reason for them to be there, there didn’t seem to be much traffic. I don’t get into a rage, but honestly, why does this person feel entitled to be in the left lane? Most state now have to waste money on signs that say “Slower traffic keep right”, and it appears she was intentionally trying to egg the guy on.

DD for every one of them. It will stick with them their entire lives. They ask that when going for a CCW permit, and buying handguns and for jobs.. let them have to answer yes to that for the rest of their lives.

Like Glenn says, regardless of his beliefs we can agree on this. The rules are stupid and do not protect us, only infringe on our rights (regardless of where we think those rights come from).

The one twitter user said “you should read the rules”.. i mean this is what we are up against, 90+ % of Americans are sheeple and they don’t actually know it. We don’t have to agree on everything, but if we can find some common ground, then we can fight the overgrowth of govt together.

And, as a follower of Jesus, why would I need to go out and speak badly about Mr Dawkins. That is not what Jesus would do.

That is great, and I am glad he called him out, need to do that more often. When I was a kid, if I did something wrong in front of an adult that was not one of my parents, they would reprimand me. It kept us in line.. need more of that. I don’t believe a community should raise a child, but a community can demand that children (and adults) act respectfully.
