It began with General Gage in Boston April 18, 1775 and continued in New Orleans (gun confiscation after Hurricane Katrina).

Roll cage fabrication is more complicated than most people would understand. You can build them both too strong or too weak.
Too strong and not enough energy will be absorbed resulting in a larger shock to the passenger, too week and the cage could collapse onto the driver.
Then you have to consider direction of impact front, rear, side or top.
Add to that the cage also affects torsional rigidity / body stiffness as well which affects the handling. There is an awful lot to think about.

Clueless, absolutely clueless.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again Ayn Rand was a profit.
It’s the 20th-century motor factory all over again.
If you're going to say it again you should learn your vocabulary. It's prophet, not profit.

The truest image of in Obamacare supporter. An overweight burned-out hippie leftist but now expects his upcoming gigantic healthcare bills to be paid by someone else even though he was the original cause.

Have always wondered about slavery. Granted there are documented incidents of horrible treatment deplorable living conditions and great suffering I’m not arguing that, but from the purely logical standpoint slaveowners looked at slaves like property.
Like any farmer would look at his property today, he depends on that property to work and produce a profit for him. Having his property in poor condition or abusing it logically does not make sense because therefore it will earn him less income.
You wouldn’t have a tractor and never change oil or do maintenance , you wouldn’t have cattle that you don’t feed or leave outside in 20 below weather.
There are cases today were farmers or ranchers horribly treat their animals but realistically they are extremely rare and considering the total number it is an extremely small percentage but those are the ones that make the news not the rest of them that do a good job.
Would the same ratio be applicable to slave owners 200 years ago?
Is it possible that some of the people that wrote stories of horrible treatment may have embellish them to further their own agenda much like journalist do today?
I will leave it up to the individual to decide the only additional thing I can add is yes, Martin Bashir is a typical left-wing Kool-Aid drinking “journalist” and wouldn’t recognize impartiality if it jumped up and bit him on the ass.

Highly alert drivers in a top quality Mercedes for nearly 29 hours are less of a danger to the general public than your avg 20 year old driving a poorly maintained car while texting for 1 hour.
