  • Orb was in position to make a run at the 1/2 mile pole but didn’t fire. The track was steep on the inside, that’s a strategy question that I’m sure his connections will go over. Hats off for Lucas, Stevens and Oxbow. Who knows who is going to take it at Big Sandy.

  • If you start with the premise that everyone has a gun, why do you need a gun registry? You would then have a registry for those who shouldn’t have guns, the criminally violent and the criminally mentally ill.

If this is the best they have, they’re in a lot of trouble.

  • What is the scandal? No crime was committed here? How about depraved indifference to human life? How about criminal negligence? Aren’t these crimes? The fact that there were numerous attacks before 9/11, the fact that it was a 9/11 anniversary, the fact that the Red Cross and the British evacuated the area because it was too dangerous, the fact that the consulate was stripped of security, the fact that Ambassador Stevens requested security the month before the military attack and was denied, wasn’t the military attack foreseeable and could have been prevented if there was a security presence there in the first place? And once the military attack began, doesn’t the order to stand down show a depraved indifference to human life and criminal negligence? Then the Administration claims it was a demonstration that got out of hand due to an offensive video; an obscure video that one would have to scour the internet to find in order to be offended by it. Yet on 9/12/2012, the Deputy Secretary of Near Eastern Affairs, Beth Jones, sent an e-mail to the top echelon people of the State Department that said it was an attack by an Al-Quaida connected group. Isn’t the claim about the video an obstruction of justice and an example of aiding and abetting the perpetrators after the fact? After all, no one individual has been arrested or captured or blamed for the military attack It’s been eight months. There’s crime here. There is scandal here. All you have to do is look.

  • The jockey doesn’t run the race, the horse does. Orb was the best horse by far. Krigge tried to rate his horse, but Goldencents wouldn’t allow himself to be rated and was up front running a blistering pace for such a long race. Those early fractions are what sprinters run in much shorter races. Orb, coming from behind on a sloppy track from way outside as compared to Revolutionary and Golden Soul running by the rail, gave away many lengths to his nearest competitors and still won. This was a very impressive victory by a versatile and talented colt.

  • It must mean that Senator Cruz is on the right track.

  • @factsmctrutherson. His mother is an American citizen who did not revoke her citizenship and she bore him naturally. Sounds like a natural born citizen to me.

  • Ya Think? The very fact that the Court wrote within its statement, I won’t even call it an opinion, that what it wrote should carry no precedential value indicates that it shouldn’t have been issued in the first place. It wasn’t ripe and it was a political question. Twp grounds for the Court not to hear the case. It would have been a political mess, but the Court’s integrity would have remained intact. Of course, this was well before what Roberts did on Obamacare.

  • I’m happy.

  • Where is he too far to the right? On immigration he said we are too divisive on the border so lets pass something to fix legal immigration. On the 2nd amendment, he asked in an analogous 1st amendment situation, which books would not get 1st amendment protection. He also participated in and supported Rand Paul’s filibuster on gun control legislation that infringed on individual 2nd amendment rights, and did not deal with the problem of caring for the mentally ill. And oh yes, he was skeptical about Chuck Hagel’s conversion on major defense issues during the nomination hearings after a long career of taking opposite positions; positions that even the New York Times described as putting Hagel on the fringe. Hagel also would not fully disclose the sources of payments he received for the past five years, and Cruz pressed him on that. Hillary Clinton, when she appeared before her nomination hearing revealed her income sources for the previous eight years. So except for the MSM bashing of Ted Cruz as an extremist, which of his positions are actually too far right?
