MSNBC Host: ‘I Thank God and Country…Abortion Was There to Save Me’
January 25, 2013 at 9:53pm
Said the baby: “I thank God and Country for my life because abortion was not able to be used as contraception”. Oh, wait…
And, I’m not sure what he means by his “strong family” he has now… not sure I want to.

Most schools are funded by the state, not just special needs schools. Even some states require books to be bought at the beginning of the school year ($55/per student when I went to school). Not socialism. Besides, socialism supporters also believe special needs children need to be aborted. Under socialism there would be no need for special needs schools.
A Growing Trend: More Restaurants Cutting Employees’ Hours in Preparation for ‘Obamacare’
January 11, 2013 at 3:58am
I have friends that own restaurants. Two do not take a paycheck because the profits are not such that they can be paid and work a full time job elsewhere while also putting in full time hours at their restaurants. The other takes a minimal paycheck when he can and his wife works as a waitress to get tips. He pays his staff at least minimum wage and gives them full time hours. He wants to open a second restaurant, but that would take him over the minimum 50 employees, so he will not. He would have created more jobs. His employees love working there and he has very little turnover. He does not have the profits for ObamaCare, he doesn’t even have insurance for himself and his family. He had a heart attack in the last year from stress and has to pay those bills now.
My sister owned a business for years, insurance for her and her husband runs $1400/mo. She sold her business a couple of years ago, financing it herself, so she was no longer working, just collecting the monthly payments from the new owners. She decided to go to work for Sam’s Wholesale so she could get insurance at a better rate. She was told employees didn’t get insurance until they work full time for 6 months. She has now been there 6 months & worked full time. She was told that it didn’t matter, no employee gets insurance until they have been there for 2 years. She is quitting.

If you know your Bible, you will know when it is twisted to fit someone’s agenda. Fugelsang twists quotes from The Book of Ruth to infer that the quote is in regards to two lesbian women. In truth, the quote is the widow Ruth making a vow to Naomi, her widowed mother-in-law, that she would not leave her destitute and alone.

Oscar-Nominated Director of Anti-Fracking Movie Arrested During Congressional Hearing
February 2, 2012 at 12:44am
It state in the article that this man was informed that the meeting was being webcast and that an ABC News crew was also turned away. The news crew did not create a ruckus. This man was obviously wanting to get his name in the news to bring attention to himself and his crusading, films, etc.
As for the fracking movie and mentioning Oklahoma’s earthquakes, the number of earthquakes here in Oklahoma (yes, I live in Oklahoma and feel the tremors) are NO more than we have on average every year since records have been kept… which is much, much longer than fracking has been used.
Garth Brooks Suing Oklahoma Hospital Over Naming Rights
January 18, 2012 at 4:26pm
Yukon is a part of the Oklahoma City, OK area, it is also Garth’s hometown. I live in Oklahoma City and remember when Garth donated the $500,000. Yukon needed a hospital and the hospital representatives were elated with the donation. They went on our local news stations raving about the donation and how they were going to name a wing of the hospital after Garth’s beloved mother. What their motivation could be for not fulfilling their agreement with Garth is a complete mystery. All hospitals name wings for their biggest donors, so naming the wing after Garth’s mother is not some new idea. Garth does so much for so many people directly, not necessarily going through charities. When he sees a need, he just acts on it. This is the one thing he did publicly and this is the treatment he gets. And, most of the comments left here sound like they are coming from Occupiers.
