  • Who cares what he thinks or says. The majority of football watching Americans have no problem with it so STHU to him. You don’t have to watch. Oh, yeah, you look more like the play watching, ballet loving kind of guy anyway.

  • It was their child. If they wanted a picture to capture the memory of this life that was not to be, who are we to judge. It’s no one else’s business.

  • That is an ignorant and inflammatory statement. Christians do not tend to behave this way in the modern world. Please tell me the last time you saw Christians burning mosques and banishing immigrants, Rabbi? If you will cast your mind back, I think it was during the Crusades, in the 11th, 12th & 13th centuries. That’s quite a stretch there, Rabbi. I think Christians will just rejoice with Tebow and congratulate him, and maybe praise God that a faithful young man has been successful because of, not in spite of, his faith.

  • Jesse Jackson: ‘Jesus Was an Occupier’

    December 16, 2011 at 12:32pm

    In reply to jp54.

Jesus was not an occupier. He was the Son of God who came to earth to minister to sinners. He preached the word and never condoned violence, even from one of his own (Peter). Jesse Jackson does not deserve to be called reverend. He and the truth are not well enough acquainted.

  • It’s a statement of belief by a group of believers. It is not unconstitutional because they are not part of the government and are not trying to establishing a state religion. These people who love to quote the constitution should take the time to read it. Don’t these same atheists have signs up all over the place? No one is calling them to take them down. Just learn to deal with the fact that public expressions of belief are withing the limits of the constitution. How about practicing some of that tolerance we hear so much about?

  • They are the kings of knee-jerk reactions. They are worse than old ladies gossiping. Why would anyone even watch them?

  • @ Erluti: There it goes again, another non-Mormon saying what Mormons believe. We belive that God created all his children including Satan, and gave them freedom to choose good or evil. We believe that only one plan was offered and that Jesus Christ was chosen to be the Savior of the world. Satan rebelled because he thought he had a better idea and wanted God’s power and glory. He was cast out for his rebellion. Next time you think you know what Mormons believe, ask one so you don’t get it wrong again.

  • Police Arrest 200 Occupy L.A. Protesters & Clear Out Encampment

The right to assemble should not be confused with the right to live indefinitely on land you do not own or rent and trash the place and do whatever you please, including public indecency, drug, use, rape, and violence. You are not entitled to anything other than life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Your rights end where mine begin. You never saw the Tea Party leaving this kind of filth behind or behaving this way. The had to get permits and then leave when the assembly was over. What is going on in these cities that allowed this in the first place?

  • The problem with his speech is that he kept saying we give thanks. Yeah, who are you giving those thanks to? If you don’t believe in God, there is no need for thanks. I hate the way he tries to tiptoe around not saying the actual word God, then tries to deliver some pseudo-thankful platitudes. Good grief, we need to be rid of this man. He makes a mockery of everything that decent, patriotic, God fearing Americans love.

  • Absolutely. You cannot have a double standard where you bash religion and demand respect for your disbelief. You are entitled to not believe just as those who are believers are entitled to their belief. Try backing off bashing Christianity and concentrate on being decent human beings. You cannot force people to accept you, but you can behave acceptably and become known for that.
