“IF” that were to happen, I will be there alongside what would be tens of thousands of others. However, placing a few hundred armed, pi$$ed off, “tea party” followers in direct opposition to armed Federal Agents, sounds like a set up to me, and one itchy finger would cause the whole idea of Liberty to come crashing down around us. And yes, the rancher has had many days in court, and to my recollection, not many of them were very good for his cause. It may be due to his understanding of Statehood, but those issues need to be taken up with the State and Federal legislatures, not the barrel of a gun. Remember, this has been going on for 20 years, through many administrations with different party affiliations. While Mr. Reid has been there the entire time, until there is a “Smoking Gun” on his complicity in this issue, he is irrelevant (and quite honestly, I believe he is deliberately stoking the fire to cause a reaction). Mr. Bundy should have used the grazing fees to buy a better lawyer.

We are obviously at a turning point. We have experienced the modern “Tea Party”, and one can only assume that the next step is Federalism. Yes, there it is, out in the open for all to see (700 postings down). In my view, we need to understand Federalism (the limits of the Federal Government), not just the fruits that were brought in the form of the Declaration, The Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. We are currently reliving the same tyranny, in an Orwellian time, but the oppression on “We the People” is hauntingly familiar in scope. Understanding and teaching Federalism is the answer. Lets just say, a NON-VIOLENT Uprising. Yeah, that sound good, a “Federalist Uprising”. I, for one, am “Fed-Up”, but I will not provoke any conflict. I would rather spend my time sending a big “F.U.” to Washington. Until the day The Constitution and Bill of Rights completely dissolved, violence in any form is not warranted.

Answered my own question….$1000 to BHO, $500 to Tom Harkin, $250 to Dem Senate Committee, $0 to Republicans, and as of 2006, 3MIL in grants….Congratulations, every American gave these bozo’s $1.00 each using the $3.23 formula (Every time the Govt spends $1Bil, it costs each American $3.23, IF it was divided evenly)

molon – There is no consistency. We are supposed to be a nation of Laws not Men. That is the point. Politicians today deem their moral values on the populous through questionable legislation. I could care less about gay marriage, but I would offer this compromise, equal marriage rights for all the same day the Government refuses to recognize any marriage and the associated “benefits”, “tax exemptions” and “protections”. Take the money out of it, and it becomes a non-issue. A law is only a law so long as it enforceable, or chosen to be enforced. You cannot legislate morality, nor should you even try.

Wow, Now this article is funny. I kind feel like I am on an amusement ride and I don’t know where the next turn is coming from…..Criminal, Yes. Traitor, TBD, but it is not looking like it in my view….not word to be thrown around lightly, unless you are trying to make it as passé as “racist”

@TimeOut – That was not a commentary on The Blaze, but rather how thin skinned the parent was. Imagine what he will see when he opens his eyes to the real world. I thought it was modestly funny, but Dad should have thrown out the receipt, and let it go….

    Sen. Marco Rubio
    Speaker John Boehner
    Congressman Jeff Flake
    Gov. Chris Christie
    Chief Justice John Roberts
    et. al.

What do all of these have in common. Their recent political decisions go against what we originally thought of them. Why? Could it be that the NSA, IRS, CIA and FBI all have info on them which would cause them to go contrary to their intentions (ala Gen. Patreus), or are they just liars?

At this point, it may as well be used as a tablecloth. There is no respect for anything. The IRS does not care. The FBI does not care. The CIA does not care. The State Department does not care. Congress does not care. The Brass in the Military does not care. The voters do not care. That leaves a small band of wacky traditionalists and Military Veterans who care, and folks, we are seriously outnumbered. Bye, Bye Miss American Pie…..

Before anyone can profess someone is traitor, it need to first be established that the act disclosed was legal (constitutional). To jump to the conclusion that this form of surveillance is legal, with no public debate, is a stretch, but if it is deemed legal, then a traitor Snowden may very well be. Until that point, a hero or villain should be reserved. Anyone who jumps to this conclusion, this quickly, is hiding something.

We are supposed to be a Nation of Laws, not men. How different everything would be if this simple principal were truly upheld.
