  • will the real binge sit down…. Really binge you missed the point.. Historical record being accurate just shows the people who wrote it lived in that day. I can write about the tornadoes that hit Dallas earlier this week, even tell you all about where they landed, when, etc. Give accurate landmarks etc. and set a fictional story in that event. It doesn’t mean its true. You wasn’t there and tall tales are just that tall tales, they inflate and inflate until hundreds of years later a binge thinker came around and believed them. One day people will believe the world was invaded by aliens probably because someone picked up War of the Worlds and believed it was non-fiction. Just cause a bunch of religious fanatics come to town and start preaching to you about a guy who rose from the dead and say they saw it doesn’t mean it was true. He rose from the dead? really? couldn’t he have said a lot better things to keep the whole religion from growing and destroying everything in its path like the plague? It grew so big it has little implosions, splinter groups that attack its own center, not just little cults, but whole religions that just spring up out of some disagreement. The Lutherans, Presbyterians, Mormons, Baptists, etc.

A truth for you: The first to be called atheists were the Christians, because they refused the beliefs of their ancestors, they were persecuted and ridiculed for not following the path of their ancestors. How are you different? Cause of your b

  • Old Testament God told his followers to kill everyone that stood against him, down to the last man, woman, child, AND animal. New Testament God says turn the other cheek and be kind to your fellow man no matter what he believes… I could never believe that old and new Gods are the same God. I just wished more “Christians” would follow their new Testament God instead of their old Testament God and ignore their new testament prophets (Paul and the rest), who kept trying to reinstate the old testament God’s decrees and discrimination inside of their new Testament God’s peaceful ideology and kindness.

  • lol i would never deny that someone walked this earth and was killed for his beliefs… it happens every day… I can even see that people would say that some of the mythology of other systems (the holy word of other religions/gods) were copycat work or deceit… But not respecting the truth is to put blinders on the horse so he can’t see the grass on either side of the road. Many of the stories found in the bible, old testament and new testament are found in other religious systems that predate them. The story of the birth of Jesus would of been a copyright infringement of those who wrote the story of the birth of Ra in Egyptian mythology some 6000 years before Christ. Resurrection stories can be found in Egyptian texts and Hindu texts that predate Christianity. If you rewrote Romeo and Juliet and gave it your own twist would you not give credit to Shakespeare? The bible states a time line of roughly 6000 years but we have written histories of several cultures that predate this time frame. Many of these other histories depict the stories of genesis with their own heroes.

Why do Christians (along with Muslims and several other “Modern” religions) claim singularity in their system alone? Where do the “Ancient” religions get to worship without persecution on all sides by these groups that claim they are wrong, evil,or the work of the devil (many of the ancient religion’s symbols were deemed evil by Roman Catholics 1500 years ago)?

  • @ AvengerX about history… history is usually written by the victors of any war…. it is not uncommon for what is accepted in modern history to proven wrong by new discoveries cause we only have the information that was passed on to us by the victors. All the history revisions that have came to realign with the bible just proves that the people who wrote the bible lived closer to the time when that history was written. it is plausible that in 1800 years from today people might not believe that catholic priests assaulted and burned hundreds of mayan and aztec shamans and burned all of their literature because they thought it was works of satan…. oh wait that is what happened and we just recently are realizing they burned all their history records too. in 1900 years its plausible that no one will know anything about the holocaust or how the germans tried to take over the world…. there is already people trying to eradicate this information as we speak. Historical proof of a record doesn’t prove that the fictional part isn’t fiction. see all the cases of Historical Fiction that is out there right now… they are making one about Lincoln being a Vampire Slayer!?! in 2000 years there will probably be people who believe Lincoln is the savior of the human race from Vampires… all praise Lincoln the vampire slayer.

  • Never liked the concept of Zombie Jesus… How about Vampire Jesus.. they resurrect, are charismatic, like to involve people in blood rituals, are fully capable to communicate, etc…..
