Football was born from Rugby. Some of the same rules. Biggest differnce is it is the position of the BALL on the field of play not the team. In football the TEAM wants to hold onto the ball so that they can drive it down the field. In rugby it is so hard to move the ball that it is better to kick it down the field and give it to the other team and have the BALL down the field thgan to hold it and try to make a drive.
Other differences: Rugby: No forward passing, can only lateral, but can foot (kick) the ball forward, no blocking of any kind, can not leave the ground(thats why you see them picking up people, the guy lifting is still tech in contact with the ground), a touchdown is really a touchdown, the ball must be placed on the ground and wherever that is done then the PAT happens from that same line perpendicular to the goalposts.

Thats about it. Awesome game to watch.

  • He would maul the NFL. Apparently you do not watch Rugby. 40 minute halfs, no timeouts, no huddles, no pausing in game action, all which allow a player to ctach their breath. Very little padding, full contact tackling. Yeah, your right….he would do poorly putting on protective equipment and hitting people as hard as he hits them WITHOUT.

Any sport that has a “blood substitution” is the sport for me. Only reason it hasn’t caught on in the States is because there is no break in the action for commercials (AKA Money).

  • Check out the videos on youtube and tell me there is not a massacre going on. Just type in Syria and you will have all you can stomach and then some.

  • Mossberg 12G. Can’t go wrong. Cheap, dependable, multiple rounds (buckshot or slug for deer, #6 shot for squirrel/rabbit, #8 shot for birds). Easy to use.

AR-15 type weapon site. Trijicon has the Acog with different magnifications. EoTech has the 502 and you can get the flip to side mag scope to go with it. Both will run you close to $1000. Both are excellent and are used on the battlefields today. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I’m right there with you Kentucky. F these people who think they have the right to come onto MY property and DICTATE what MY family can and can not do. Where does it stop? Are they then able to come into your home and make sure that the kids aren’t doing any house cleaning with harmful chemicals like Ajax or, for the love of God, Bleach!!! Where does the line start and stop? I personally think it needs to be redrawn.

S what is the punishment for having your child work on your farm? A fine? What if you don’t pay the fine? Jail? So an American goes to jail for raising his child the way that he sees fit in the environment that he sees that is best for his child. Truly sad.

  • I took one of those subconscious racist tests in college and it came out that I was indeed racist…against white people. I’m a white people. How does that figure?

They can’t stay and argue their position. That is why they leave. They have no grounds to stand on in which to defend their convictions because they will be slaughtered in the debate. Hence they must retreat and act like children who don’t get their way, because just like children they can’t reasonably put together a strong enough arguement on why a person shouldn’t have the right to defend themselves or their family.

  • Yeah you won’t be seeing that up on the board at Time’s Square, that’s for sure.
