  • The change that was suggested was that chaplains etc need not evoke the name of Christ, when it would be inappropriate. Sounds perfectly legit to me. Inapropriate might include when speaking to those whose religion does not include a reference to Christ. What’s wrong with that?

  • Joe Biden thinks he’s a wit, but he’s only half right.

  • I smell trouble with this on the horizon. (Sorry for the politically incorrect statement.)

  • Maybe also a web page listing the S//N of the gun so a buyer could cross check.

  • I was observing gun buyback (before the Sheriffs Dept. made me leave the building). The records of the guns turned in were kept on a spiral wound stenographers notebook with unnumbered pages. A woman brought in her fathers and grandfathers collection because they were willed to her son, a cancer victim and he could not shoot them. I was outside the building talking to the owners hoping they would sell some of the guns to me .Two Sheriff’s Deputys Came out and threatened me with arrest for “soliciting to buy firearms on county property”. I vocalized my disrespect for that made up ordinance and followed them into the building and watched the transaction. Several Deputies stood in front on me to block my view. For some reason, I don’t believe all the guns were melted down.
I called the Mich.State Police and questioned how I could be assured that the guns were destroyed. I was told that State law required them to be destroyed. pointed out that the law requires only guns used in crimes to be destroyed-not gun buybacks -and the Officer said. “We do that anyway”. I asked if there were records available that I could see. I was told there were none. I believe all gun buyback programs should be required to keep a record of all guns turned in and these records should be made available to the public. Same for the place that is supposed to destroy them. If they ever surface again, heads should roll.

  • Are they going to publish the names of criminals and of those owning unregistered guns etc.? Oh,wait! Those are the people who are supporting the paper. We need to incarcerate all criminals, lying journalists, and crooked politicians. If you do the first, the second and third will automatically be In custody.

  • The Democrats are afraid that the serfs on their plantation might get uppity and demand to be freed from the chains of dependency.

  • Convicted felons on parrole of probation should not be allowed open or concealed carry. I’m not even sure they should be allowed after they complete their sentences. Any illegal drug usage or dealing, or other law violations should be cause for immediate revocation or denail of permits. Responsible carry should be the name of the game. That would eliminate a lot of frivolous applications

  • So exactly how and why does the sensitivity training of the police become the NRA’s responsibility? Where does thew Illinois legislature get the authority to tell the NRA to do what the police deptartments themselves should be doing? I think the NRA would, and should, refuse and he would use that as a way to demonize the NRA as not caring about “the poor people” etc.. The Brady Campaign (or whatever it has rebadged itself as now) and other liberal groups have been trying that for decades. I think he’s as phony as Obama.

  • If dogs don’t go to Heaven, then I don’t want to go there either. I want to go where the dogs go.
