@Ranger1965… Just out of curiosity sir, how would you have handled this situation were u in the shoes of these officers that logged t a complaint and went to investigate? Guy walking down the road as is his right to do with a rifle across his chest. You see him and say… What? OK, he looks like a normal guy and its his right to carry that weapon, lets go have a beer?

I dont agree with the indignation, but what the hell does Christianity have to do with it? Since when do Christians own a monopoly on indignation?

@Florida123 …. koolAid? My glasses are far from rose colored. I am more cynical and negative about the road that we have taken in this day and age in getting away from the constitution and how this country was founded than most, including the prospect of getting out of it… I actually think we are to far gone to come back to anything decent. That being said, I still think this guy was wrong. As I mentioned, not all cops are good, what profession has a 100% positive workforce? Based upon watching the entire video, I didnt see the officers infringing on his rights or being disrespectful or even raising their voices. The only one that was carrying on was the man with the gun.

You know, I dont comment on here much, but I gotta get in on this one because I dont see what the outrage is… I think this guy was wrong. I am a supporter of our heroes in the military AND our police forces. Yes, there are undoubtedly some in the police force that need to go, but the majority that I have run across are great folks that are performing a service that most will not. There was a complaint, one or multiple, it is irrelevant. The cops in this situation are required to investigate. They went up to this guy hiking up an open road in plain view of the whole world with a rifle clipped across his chest (unusual in and of itself). I am positive that this guy could have easily defused the situation and been on his merry way if he had been quiet, respectful of the officers who are doing their job and cooperated. I think that he was obviously putting on a show, and the officers were come and collected in the face of his grandstanding and threatening. I dont agree with this guy one bit. No one infringed on his right. There are a lot of sick people in this world, there is nothing wrong with the officers responding to a call and making sure that he is not one of them. I am all for the second amendment and gun rights in general, but when we act like our rights trump all other concerns, including the duty of officers to investigate a complaint, we are only making ourselves look bad.

‘Darkness Has No Weight’: Singers Matt Maher & Kalai Discuss the State of Music in America (Bonus: Acoustic Performances!)
July 27, 2012 at 1:16am
@DTComposer…. are u referring to Kalai with the uneducated musician remark? If so, is the only thing that stayed with u from everything that was said the fact that he is not along the lines of Brahms, Mahler and the like? Sorry but i find that to be quite “narrow” of u. Just because someone doesn’t have a tremendous understanding of every aspect of his craft or is not university educated diminishes neither his talent nor the things that he has to say. I thought that the things that he said in the interview were amazing to be quite frank. It is apparent to me that this man spends a lot of time thinking about this world that we live in and how it relates to his music and spiritual life and that thought is reflected in his words. Impressive for a young person in todays music culture.
