The Separation Between Church and State applies to the government, not to private citizens, even while on public property. It is generally agreed by Constitutional scholars that the Bill of Rights was aimed at the government, not private citizens. It would be one thing if it was a teacher praying aloud. It’s another thing if it’s a mother seeing off her kids.

I honestly didn’t mind the Muslim kids at my high school being given time and a space for their prayer. It didn’t affect me and if I saw them, I didn’t mind either. They stood up for me when I said a short prayer to myself before eating lunch and almost got detention. The words “Class Action Lawsuit” has a way of silencing bullying government officials.

    Separation, not Banishment.

    Let’s see…. A group tells me that whatever I do, I can’t mention something in a speech.

What is someone who believes in the First Amendment to do?

I am curious. What holiday is it that is responsible for the holiday season?

Really, this whole thing has always seemed stupid to me since I was a kid. I knew kids growing up in atheist households who loved Christmas. We all knew that was what made everyone else so excited.

I also don’t get the “happy holidays” on every other day but Christmas, thing. No disrespect intended, but those days are normal excluding the Hannukah ones and Kwanza ones, which I try to remember in saying as I say, “Happy Hanukah and Merry Christmas” or “Happy Kwanza and Merry Christmas”. I honestly love all three.

The more I read what Margaret Sanger said on race, the more it sounds like her words belong in a Nazi’s or Neo-Nazi’s mouth. But then, National Socialism is right wing, right?

Trust me, this is typical. The Left are bullies pure and simple and they get away with it because they feel “righteous”. In my university, I learned to be quiet when the the teacher says something I disagree with if I didn’t want the teacher turning the class against me.

He’d be stoned to death on my college campus.

So would I if I didn’t keep my mouth shut.

    Tolerance, you know?

Alright. I’m going to speak calmly and clearly.

Neither religion nor lack of religion is going away anytime soon! Shocking, I know. Atheists, people aren’t all going to suddenly realize how “stupid” or “superstitious” they are and Theists, particularly Christians, atheists aren’t all going to suddenly realize how “evil” or “immoral” they are.

In my experience, people trying to get people to believe in God or not using militant arguments and tactics are NO BETTER than their opponent.

Me? I’m happy to worship as I please. I goto a great church and a great community. I’m not going to waste my time shoving religion down others’ throats and I have no time for people who want to shove atheism down mine. I am, of course, willing to discuss religion, but really, militant Christians and militant Atheists can continue flinging mud at each other. The rest of us will thank God (or not) that the First Amendment is in place and won’t be messed with by either of you.

Now, if you excuse me, I will leave and exercise my right to practice my religion and judge only myself critically in order that I may be a better person and Christian.
