    …. AND with what I said earlier, I’d also add that regardless of the laws of physics Joe still gave some really stupid advice and you should never fire your gun in the air. Joe should be held liable in some manner for his ridiculous advice because of the public office he holds and the weight of his advice when he goes on national news. He is extremely naive when it comes to gun safety… obviously…

    Yes that is the case. It is also the case with any gun, if you fire the gun up in the air at an angle greater than 45 degrees than no matter type of gun or caliber it is it will do very very little harm to anyone on the way back down… simple laws of physics uphold that this objects terminal velocity on the way back down will not exceed gravity (because there will be no acceleration) and as a result an object falling at the speed of gravity and only the size of a bullet would barely harm you if at all.
