It doesn’t matter if it affects the safety or not. Turning off electronic devices is a requirement under FAA Flight Regulations. The crew would be violating FARs and be subject to penalty if they do not ensure compliance by passengers with the law.

Don’t like the rule? Lobby the feds. The airlines don’t make this rule.

Foolish. Optional prayer should be allowed in schools, but this is a huge overreaction to the left’s attacks on religion. You don’t counter attacks on free speech and religion with mandatedspeech and religion.

Also, keep in mind that right now, in Dutchess County, the wait time for a pistol permit is over 15 months. How they hope to incorporate renewals is beyond me.
