  • Mr. Howerton, FYI, the Rockin’ Rodeo uses corn meal (or similar), not sand, to make “boot scootin’” a little easier for rubber soled footwear. It’s a great place though, thanks for the write up.

  • I’m in Denton and the Rockin’ Rodeo is a small venue. A packed house in the hundreds, not tens and is a great place to cut loose and dance until you’re exhausted. Fowler plays bigger venues, much bigger than RR, however, it’s nice when he drops by to entertain us.

  • Amen, Brother-Ed, amen. God help our Stars. 3 wins in a row, however!

  • It was just his visor, not his face.

  • Steve Ott is a funny guy and was great when he was interviewed here in Dallas…down to earth. No man card suspension is needed, he was just ‘f-in’ with his old teammate; although, it apparently didn’t work.

  • You hit the nail on the head, LeverAction. My nephew is about to graduate high school and will attend college in the Fall. His choice of degree? Agriculture. He wants to raise commercial herds and farm. Unfortunately, land prices are sky rocketing and most big farms/ranches are corporate owned. The little farmer has a hard time making ends meet. My nephew will find a way, it’s not going to be a cake walk, that’s for sure. Upside? He loves it and loves to work.

  • It almost looks like the jet used in the early 80′s movie with Clint Eastwood called “Firefox.” Accept in that movie the jet was a little longer. This is hysterical.

    In reply to RJJinGadsden.

That’s pretty much what I was thinking. My dogs look so much better as dogs than pilgrims, reindeer, bunnies, leprechauns, cupid, etc. etc. Too bad that dogs can’t say, “You know, I appreciate the clothing, but, I think I’ll pass on this one.”

I love my dogs just the way they are, big and full of fur.

  • Look, I don’t like the guy, didn’t vote for him, think he and the rest of the goof-balls that voted for him are idiots; but, this photo is pretty amusing. Ms. Maroney is cute and her expression looks natural, but, O looks like a poser. His ego is too much to handle such smug disposition. I think he is trying too hard to look cool to the younger demographic. (sigh) And “they” voted based on crap like this.

Oh, and by the way, I am not a racist, nor a ****-phobe, nor a hater. I try to find the good in everyone because that’s what He wants me to do and I’m in it for Him.

  • I totally agree, Texas IS a beautiful place and IS a State of Mind. I live North of Dallas/Fort Worth and I am sad to say that it (Texas) is quickly becoming a swing state. We can blame that on Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Denton and a few other cities around here and there. Part of the problem is that in these population centers, many people are lazy and like handouts or come from other blue states for work…hence the “blue-ness” of the areas. (Hmmm, when the government and unions run one state into the ground, why not move to another for the time being until it is ruined too?)

I like to work, I like to work hard and see a task completed, I like to know that I make a difference by what I do and what I convey by hard work. My kids are learning it and I hope that they will continue with the same tenacity.

God Bless Texas and God Help our Nation.
