  I would feel comfortable in saying not one of those children, Christian, Jew, atheist, was harmed by that prayer or made to feel excluded or marginalized or offended. Liberals want to train kids to be offended by anything they don’t believe or which they don’t like or respect.

  On Mothers Day I told my husband it wouldn’t be long until Mothers and Fathers Day would be gone and we would have Female Parent Day and Male Parent Day. I guess this is the start. I am sick of those who spend their lives looking for things by which to be offended.

  I went to several in- services where they told teachers to give out the stupid packets to ” individualize” instruction. Their idea was for the teacher to run around the room to monitor each student working through a packet and teach what was needed individually. It doesn’t work, of course. There isn’t enough time in a class to individually teach 20 – 30 kids and some kids just sit and don’t even try. Who can blame kids for being bored and frustrated while they wait for help? I ignored the in- services.

  If you don’t enforce NO regulations, you DO enforce regulations. A double negative has a positive meaning, so you were correct without meaning to be- probably one of the few times in your life.

  TH777, Catholics do NOT believe you have to have the sacrament of the anointing of the sick to get to Heaven. They do believe you cannot have mortal sins on your soul that are unforgiving at death, so they WANT the sacrament to make sure they can perhaps have a final blessing and confession and to have prayers offered for them. Even if a person can’t speak, the person can mentally ask for forgiveness for his sins through the priest. And, before you ask, if a priest isn’t available just before death, a person can still repent for his serious sins and avoid damnation.

  One of the great comforts father my son was murdered was trying to keep others from the same fate by spreading word of the dangers of the Internet. I hope the Warrens will find comfort in helping others who are mentally ill and perhaps saving lives.
