I know several women who are absolutely terrified (paranoid) of anyone that looks sideways at their kids. Yeah, it’s paranoia… an obsessive mental illness. Get over yourselves, ladies. The kiddos may be the center of your universe but they’re not the center of everyone else’s.

Ha! Anyone else notice that the Oakland Raiders did not win in Alameda County–their home? Send the Raiders back to LA. Let THEM pay for a brand new stadium. Go Niners.
I remember when I lived in the Bay Area (not that long ago) all you saw was Silver and Black regardless of their record. You wouldn't even see much red and gold at Candlestick when the Raiders played there. If you go to any of the active sports forums, the Raiders forums are always the most active. 49r "fans" are more about the event than the game. I still remember when the 49ers referred to their "fans" as "white wine sippers" because they didn't understand what was happening on the field.

Pimply-faced nerd trying to be funny or border-crosser displaying his innermost dreams?

Hate to be Debbie Downer but I know way to many people who medicate/sedate their kids with booze or cough syrup. This is really no surprise.
You need to get to "know" some "new" people.
Do they make a video and laugh when said drug is administered?
Rubbing whiskey on a teething toddler's tooth is one thing, putting a joint in a toddler's mouth is completely different.

“the Civil Rights Act doesn’t allow the exchange to turn away applicants because of their criminal past.”
This is no laughing matter. Here’s the larger issue: The California Legislature is trying to pass a law making it illegal to refuse employment or housing based on the applicant’s criminal record. What will this mean?
Smart employers and landlords will figure out ways to not comply.
Who will comply? State and Local government agencies. Which means criminals will be given government jobs. Criminals will have access to information about and power over your property, your vote, your permits, your fees, your children’s school records, you name it. Soon, we will not have a Bureaucracy… we’ll have a Thugocracy.

Gotta agree with Rand on this one. I’m active in local Republican politics in California. Not only are most of the participants White, they are old. Demographics works against the Republicans on all levels in California.
The Republican party needs to do better outreach, better marketing of it’s ideas. However, that doesn’t mean changing our principles to be more “moderate” and a “bigger tent.” It means doing a better job articulating our principles to folks outside of our social circles and explaining why those principles are better than what the Democrats are offering.
The Republicans in California, Like Bono-Mac, are more Liberal than anything else and that is the message they are selling. I didn't vote for Bono in the last election nor the previous. Better get her out than have a RINO. Thibodaux was a better choice and that fell on deaf Republicans.
"It means doing a better job articulating our principles to folks outside of our social circles and explaining why those principles are better than what the Democrats are offering."
But when potential voters only hear screaming, angry diatribes from radicals who show disdain for anyone not pure enough, then how can we get the message across?

But we’ll give asylum to Chechen terrorist families… amazing.

The local CBS station in San Francisco has this story: Bay Area Parents Say Time Cover Mom Breastfed Until 6 (http://cbsloc.al/Kvgng4). To make this even creepier to me…. I went to High School with this woman’s father. Man, I gotta get out of the Bay Area.

I parked by car–resplendent with my Rush Babe On Board sign–at UC Berkeley for months. No one got it. The only comment I got was from an old hippie staffer who asked me which “album” of their’s was my favorite.
Oh ,Oh thanks Anneke9 that made my stomach hurt from laughter, Thanks, priceless!
And @ the third archon who and were are #1 and # 2 please? You still, after all these months, have not answered us!.
That staffer must have smoked a lot of pot when he used to listen to that band. Way out of touch, but funny!

I approve of the LA County School District firing the teacher who made anti-semitic remarks re: the Occupy! movement. I feel the same way about this person. If you post comments/blogs from forums in which you identify your employer, then they have a right to monitor your speech. One thing I learned in kindergarten: never pee in your own pool. If you want to comment, develop an alias or use a pen name and, for God’s sake, don’t list your employer in your profile. Duh!
You can't compare racism to having religious convictions against homosexuality.
You can't simply not discuss your race, it's apparent. Sexuality? It can be kept to oneself. Sexuality has no place in the classroom. Students are there to learn Math, English, Science and Critical Thinking. School's should stay out of sexuality. Period. All overt displays should be punishable - hetero, homo, whatever.

The event happened today (9/27). I bought my cupcake. And, made sure I paid the “white male” price. I don’t need special treatment just because I’m a woman.

A beautiful song and touchingly done. But why the switch? Sounds of Silence was an anti-wars song, written about the commercial vacuousness of US society and culture. Bridge over Troubled Water, on the other hand, was much more positive song about hope and support with it’s soaring harmonies. Maybe Paul Simon was trying to get Art Garfunkel to do a duet and Garfunkel declined?
It's that partisan divide. It's just now getting started...oh wait...never mind.

Did MSLSD ask the rest of the world if they share the opinion? Barry Soetero was coronated king… that’s not working our so well for the Libs. So, they’ve moved on to Clinton. When the rest of the world laughs in their face, who’ll be next? Carter? The main stream media is utterly divorced from reality.

Now they’ve proved they can investigate and arrest white gangsters whose relatives came from Europe, maybe they’ll investigate the New Black Panthers, MS-13, the Nortenos, etc. Not going to hold my breath on that one.

His wife has been doing this for years (and getting tickets for it). Both are spoiled brats who think they deserve special considerations.

This is San Francisco… gotta go with a gay coach. Doesn’t matter, the Niners will be going nowhere until they get their quarterback situation resolved. The tag team is not working.

Pre-emptive strike? I’ve heard some Libs suggest that Obama’s next Supreme Court nominee should be Anita Hill. Create a controversy now to prevent that from happening?
