  • Obama Slightly Flubs Inaugural Oath

    January 21, 2013 at 12:53pm

In reply to 13th Generation American.

Now it is off to four years of a President of 50 percent of the nation. Hope the other 50 percent stays involved and pays attention, speaks out and gets out to vote in 2014.

  • These children can also be used to show how their futures are being taken away with all the wasteful and wreckless spending and the 16 trillion in debt. I wonder if their parents and/or teachers are telling them this along with the issue on the guns?

  • I have sent email to Gov. Christie and called 609-292-6000- and 609-777-2500 to ask the Governor to be as much a vocal presence against the Senate bill with all the pork spending as he was with Boehner. This money was suppose to be for Sandy victims, not for a roof in Washington, buying some attorney general a car or something in Alaska and the list of wasteful spending goes on and on. Why his he being so silent about the Senate taking away the monies from the Sandy victims as he was with Boehner not taking it up. I am glad Boehner stopped it from moving forward as the victims would have had a third of the monies that were suppose to be for them. So contact the Governor to be more vocal on the waste.

  • Obama: More Tax Increases Possible to Reduce the Deficit

    January 5, 2013 at 7:01pm

    In reply to woodyee.

No more added taxes until they get the wasteful spending under control.

  • Five things Republicans need to do: #1. It is not Obamacare… It is ObamaTax. #2. They need to have a slogan” Save The Future of Our Children” #3. They need to have all debates and/or negotiations open and on C-Span for all to hear. No more behind the door sessions. #4. Stand up to the Democrats and forget the public opinion polls. #5. Post the debt clock everywhere when they are on TV and speak of it often on the radio and have a you tube made up to show the bills being presented and a bullet of each item on the bill with its cost. Lose the talking points….

  • Can someone explain who in the givernmnet will have the authority to spend the additional tax money should a deal not be made and we go over the cliff. I thought the House of Representatives have the power of the purse. If this is true, why deal at all. Why not just use the additional revenue to pay down the debt?

  • The Republicans need to take a deep breathe, come to grips that the Presidential election was lost, and get a clear head. They should force a vote on the keeping the Bush tax cuts in both the House and Senate and let the Democrats vote against it thus promoting higher taxes on everyone and then deal with Obama and the Democrats. The dealing should stop now until the forced vote is done and then get everyone on the TV, radio and so forth pushing the reduction in spending. They should be saying Spending Reduction more than the word TAX, other than mentioning the ObamaTaxCare. Simple and far less of Reoublicans looking like the Keystone Cops.

  • Someone has to say the word SPENDING in the Republican talking points as many times as the words TAX THE RICH Democrat talking points. People understand that the battle is not really on the taxing of the rich but on the crazy out of hand spending.

  • I think the deal making should stop and let the taxes go up for everyone. Obama will get his spending money from the additional revenue, EVERYONE will finally be paying taxes and once and for all people will see that the taxes are not be used for deficit or debt reduction but for additional spending. The idea that this deal will protect the middle class is pure fantasy as the middle class gets stiffed all the time. Now all of a sudden after 4 years of sticking it to the middle class the light has been seen to be different. Very doubtful. They want to take the Christ out of Christmas and replace it with Merry Taxmas and Happy Spending New Year. Or to be politically correct should I say Happy Taxday.

  • Mitt Romney should stick with the Clint Eastwood rationale… “We Own This Country” and “Let Him Go”. This is an excellent thing to have people respond to at campaign speeches and an excellent motivation for people to become involved in the campaign.
