As much as I hope I would’ve done the same as this man and as wrong as I think the store policy is, your individual rights are trumped by the rights of the property owner. If someone comes onto my property, surely I have the right to tell them they can’t bring a gun.

Evidently my point didn’t make it across. I’m completely against government tracking of citizens in any way. However, it seems that most people want government involvement in their lives until they don’t want it. Saying “Yes, you can have my kid until they’re 18, but you can’t give them a card that will track them for a few hundred feet while they’re on campus”. Just doesn’t make sense.
J. Madison said that if we ever get to a point as a country that we’re building schools and paying teachers, then the very foundation of our country will have changed.
My point is that if you’re going to put the government pill in your mouth, go ahead and swallow.
But then again, I’m one of those Ron Paul nutjobs.
Peace

It’s sad that most of those commenting here don’t have a problem with a government that tells you where you have to be 180 days a year for most of your childhood but DO have a problem with them tracking your location while on their property. It’s their property. If someone comes onto my property, surely I have the right to track them while they’re there.
‘Good Faith Just Isn’t Enough’: Baltimore Officials Propose Controversial Hiring Mandate
November 21, 2012 at 10:45pm
The thing is, if I’m reading this correctly, that it’s not simply referring to public/city jobs like the fire department, police, etc. It is including private businesses that have project contracts with the city. A government should never be able to dictate to a private business who they can/can’t hire.

This is what governments do. There are as many u. s. hack attempts on Chinese government as Chinese hack attempts on u. s. government.
Homeowner’s Association Suing Woman Over…Granddaughter’s Pink Playhouse
September 22, 2012 at 5:40pm
Looks like most people don’t grasp the concept of a homeowners association. You’re presented with the CC&Rs before purchase. Doesn’t seem like a story here. Homeowner’s association says no pink playhouse. Option 1: repaint it. Option 2: move. I must be missing something.
