Pat Robertson Has Some Tough Advice for Cheated-On Women: Do You Agree With Him?
May 17, 2013 at 12:04pm
To be honest this viewer question is the proverbial rock and a hard place. There is no right answer here.
I would be very hesitant to suggest divorce but then again a cheating spouse is the noted exception in the words of Jesus to a ban on divorce. I think Pat did not want to council the woman to divorce her husband and what came out was non-sense.
However, from what I interpreted Pat saying, Pat said it is in the nature of men to cheat and he gave a total pass to the husband for his infidelity. That is not right at all..PERIOD.
My council to the woman would be this:
1- There is no exception to forgiveness, you must forgive him as Jesus forgives you.
2- Whether or not you remain married is between the two of you and God. Should you wish to stay married then you had better find a way to make it work (here I do not disagree with some of the suggestions by Pat).
3- Don’t worry about trust at this time. Trust is earned and he has to earn your trust back, There are no microwave solutions to that. But you have to allow him to earn the trust back.
4- Non-negotiable advice: Put GOD first in your marriage, pray together often, like every morning noon and night; Learn to talk to each other (what makes both of you happy, what ****** both of you off) get to the bottom of the issue and solve it…
5- If these steps do not work or he refuses to follow through….DIVORCE HIS ARSE

To answer your question:
A congressman needs 20 -30 staff members. 1 to hold the light bulb and 29 to spin the ladder.

There is a problem with that, and it is the same problem that plagues the un”FairTax”… you have to have an agency of tax collectors to make sure people are paying what they should and to count the money collected. You cannot escape that fact.
You can abolish the IRS, but it will only be abolished in name only. The newly renamed IRS will occupy the same building with the same people doing the same job. The only difference being instead of being IRS they will be TCA (tax collection administration) or some other alphabet soup label.
Before I get flamed for being anti-FairTax consider the power you will hand government once they gain control over the price of goods. Remember the Fair Tax is NORMAL LAW that can (and will) be changed with a simple majority vote in Congress. It is not set in stone. The FairTax idea is just replacing one monster with another that may be even more dangerous than the first.
I do have a plan to replace the Federal income tax. It is the same plan the Founders used and was used until 1918. Instead of the Feds taxing us directly, the Feds tax the states according to population % to pay for operating costs. I would also return the Senate to the states and abolish popular election of Senators.
At the state level you have more political power than at the Federal level. You can control how and how much you are taxed more directly.

I am not at all sympathetic with the media getting spied upon.
Where was there indignation when the govt spies on us?
What was their reaction to the NSA building a complex in Utah to spy on our electronic communications? http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/technology-blog/4-high-tech-ways-federal-government-spying-private-153556125.html
The media applauds the govt when they issue “Shelter in Place” orders (the kinder, gentler martial law) just as long as they don’t touch the press badges.
And we are supposed to cry them a river when they get hacked by the gov. Not a fats chance in a weight watchers reunion.

Another possibility is that you were making a right hand turn.
Again, you failed to yield the right of way. The other motorist had the right to the road you were turning onto. You failed to look to your left and see that oncoming car when you made the right turn into their lane.
The fact the other motorist still had a yellow light means that you had a red light. The red light you had still functioned as a STOP sign. You must stop, yield to oncoming traffic, then proceed when the intersection is clear.
You failed to yield the right of way. Again, you caused the accident, you have no business being angry at anyone.

Another possibility is that you were making a left hand turn.
Again you are at fault, failure to yield the right of way.
Motorists traveling straight have the right of way over those making a turn. You turned into the path of oncoming traffic. Because you didn’t pay attention to oncoming traffic you caused the accident.
NOTE: Motorists in the intersection when the light turns red have the right to evacuate the intersection first. You should wait till the light turns red then proceed with the left turn.
Again, you have no right or business being angry because someone hit you while you are being stupid. IF the motorist ran a late yellow you should have seen the car before you proceeded in the turn regardless of signal color.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL, TEAMWORK IS KEY

Jerry,
Here is my question to you:
If the motorist that totaled your car had the yellow light (regardless of how late it was still yellow), that means you still had a red light. What were you doing in the middle of the intersection while you had a red light?
You were also not paying attention either. Green does not mean floor the gas pedal. It means proceed with caution. You should have waited till the intersection was clear before you put the pedal to the metal.
1- You ran a red light
2- You did not wait for the intersection to clear
ERGO…The accident is your fault, failure to yield the right of way. You have no business being angry at all.
