  Seems to bring out the faux patriotism of liberals. They must either really love colonial Americanism. That, or they’re just upset that the oppressed have been used to make a valid point against them for a change.

  Unless they intend to interview or interrogate him immediately, advisement of Miranda Rights is not required immediately. Given his reported medical condition, advising him of his Miranda Rights is not going to accomplish anything. The police know anything they ask him right now is not going to stick ijn court and his attorneys would argue that he is in no physical condition to acknowledge that he understands his rights anyway. Even if they did, they would have to Mirandize him again once he recovers. Once he is medically stable, they’ll Mirandize him again before any questioning begins.

  Ironic that before reading this story that I had to sit through Microsoft commercial featuring by Cam Newton, who played one year at Auburn which under investigation for changing players’ grades the year he played. I wish this young lady the best. She’ll land on her feet regardless of where she goes to school.
