Yeah, sorry no such letter exists. It at best maybe derives from a so called banned book of the bible or Apocrypha but is more than likely a complete fabrication from the 16th century, as the earliest known translation is in renaissance Latin.

I have heard of Josephus, born 4 years after Jesus’ death so not a living contemporary, and am quite familiar with Christians pulling him out of their rears as proof. No reading required. I assume you are referencing the infamous Testimonium Flavianum. The ONE, thats right ONE, paragraph out of everything he ever wrote that he supposedly references Jesus. Fact of the matter is, any serious historian rejects this outright, or at the very least has serious doubts about its authenticity, as a forgery written around the 4th century and planted into Josephus’ works by Christian copyists. Try again.

First off Tacitus wasnt born until 55ad, so there goes contemporary. Secondly, that particular passage’s authenticity, even amongst theologians, is widely questioned and is believed to have been altered by later Christian transcribers. The first half of book 5 of the Histories of Tacitus, directly from Tacitus, still exists and its first 10 chapters are devoted solely to Judea and yet it contains not a single mention of “Christians”.

The possibily that a catastrophic, naturally occuring no supernatural beings needed, flood occured devastating some ancient civilization is not what is questioned. Its the non sensical fairy tale of a 600 year old putting 2 of every animal on a boat because his imaginary best friend told him to that it is rightly dismissed as such by any rational person.
