  • I like how Paul is willing to bring border state govenors and the border patrol into the equation. I think this shows common sense and an understanding of the order of power within our system of government. Im sure Jan Brewer wouldn’t have had the headaches she had and our border patrol wouldn’t have been in near the danger.

Why does the left and the media ignore the violence in the black community which is 6 times worse than in the white community? Why do they get all bent out of shape and concerned when it happens in more white and rural areas(conservative America, generally speaking)? Is it because they hate black people? Or is it because they see this as an opportunity to push their agenda?

  • 2nd amendment- key words
well regulated – the definition back then meant well working like a very accurate pocket watch – today’s definition means regulated by something such as government

militia – There was also military back when this was written… military worked for the government. Militias back then were composed of farmers, lawyers, preachers, doctors etc.

free state – I take this to mean free state of being not a state such as Texas or New York

    therefore…
A well organized and well working militia consisting of everyday Americans, being necessary to the security of the people’s free state of being, the God given right of the people to keep and bear arms and protect themselves from anyone or anything trying to be destructive of these rights, shall not be infringed.

  • On so many levels, I think this VP pick was a great move for Romney. Now granted, Romney blows like dust in the political winds but I see this as a win for all of us. We have all types, from our diehard Paul supporters too the timid anybody but Obama types. But we all have the same message, our country is on the wrong path and we want it back. This pick proves that we are having an impact and at least moving somewhat in the right direction.

  • Don’t forget to mention how Senator Linda Lopez tied Loughner to the tea party on a Fox interview at the hospital. Quote, “so much vitriole from the tea party people”

  • He’s all wet.

  • The problem lies with the GOP constantly forcing weak candidates out there and the complacent people who accept it.
This cycle has been going on for years and will probably take longer than a term or two to turn it around. I think we’re going to have to endure some pain before the party or the people truly gets it.

  • This should shed some light on that “anybody but Obama” mentality. LOL

Mr. Scarry, you’re exactly right. It was odd to me that Romney was beating the others based on what we see online.
and yes…There is alot of support for the others…Online…many are unheard of… offline
What we have to keep in mind is there are alot more people who are not engaged in politics and vote based what is repeated to them the most.
The media for the most part is overwhelmingly in support of Romney, and this shows in the results of the elections.
I guess what I’m saying is those of us interested in politics are not the only ones voting. There are many who are uninterested in politics, voting as well.
This happened in 08 but it was more of a celebrity thing.
