Glenn, I am so sorry for Victor and your family during this difficult time. Dogs are amazing animals God has provided to man to be his friend, protector and family, and when we see our dogs suffering we see our beloved family member suffering as well. I lost my GSD to torsion twist 6 years ago and I miss her all of the time. I pray for your and your family and you have my deepest condolences.

While Tolkien was an amazing and influential writer, and I adore his work immensely, Tolkien was not whoely responsible for converting C.S. Lewis. G.K. Chesterton’s “Everlasting Man” has immense influence upon C.S Lewis’ conversion, and Chesterton’s writings are amazing as well.

This is actually pretty fair and hilarious…they nailed the commentators pretty well!
I don’t believe that was sarcasm at all. I think that is what he tells himself to somehow justify what he does for a living day after day. He is like Obama…says what he really thinks when he is off prompter.

The bad guy just would have brought more guns. This evil person wired his own apartment to have even more damage sustained. Criminals don’t follow restrictions.

@V15…My irritation is with the ugly nature of the people on here that feel the need to verbally destroy her in spite of her amazing accomplishments just because she is 300 pounds. You accuse women on here of feeling guilty due to our own struggles with weight, I contend that you are being an a$$due to your inherent douchi-ness, and you can’t go on a diet to loose that.

I spoke non-troll…that may be why you didn’t understand.

Best of luck to you at the Olympics, Holly! Haters gonna hate, but none of them have ever qualified for the Olympics and at age 22!! USA! USA! USA! :D
As for the rest of you calling her fat…you’re ugly on the inside.
Could not have said it better myself ArmyWifeNiz!
Those deriding her because of her weight sound like Progressive Trolls to me, rather than caring, considerate human beings. JMHO!
Fat? Oprah is fat. This girl is morbidly obese and will probably not live to be forty.
I spoke non-troll...that may be why you didn't understand.
She's not fat...she's big boned!
Gland problem ..
Seriously, you're encouraging a 350 lb woman that she doesn't have a weight problem? This story really touched a nerve with a lot of the female blaze readers because they are obviously self-conscious about their own weight. 350 lbs isn't healthy...and she's 22 years old....Don't expect her to live a long and fulfilling life.
@POUNCING PORCUPINE, you say she'll never live to be 40? Well, if she does, it will be 12 years longer than Amy Winehouse.
@V15...My irritation is with the ugly nature of the people on here that feel the need to verbally destroy her in spite of her amazing accomplishments just because she is 300 pounds. "her amazing accomplishments" - Which are?
@ Neal - so how many US Olymoic Teams have you been on? Or when did being on the US Olympic Team begin to be a non-accomplishment?
@ARMYWIFE, I'm in great shape because I free climb 3-5 days/week and hike. I want to continue to perform better and climb continually harder routes so that's why I train. Yes, I come off as a jerk about this story because I have a problem with morbidly obese people. To me, they are just as irresponsible as a heroin addict. The problem is our society has become so politically correct because people take no responsibility for their actions anymore. From my perspective, it's morally wrong to delude and encourage a morbidly obese person to continue their lifestyle.

While God is most certainly anti-gay, He is not hateful. This pastor is doing the rest of us Christians wrong by painting us as hateful bigots.
Good Post, But I'd say more so, God is Anti-Sin. Any sin seperates us from God, the sins of the flesh are IMO, more because it is the ones that draws our focus and attention of God the most.
"While God is most certainly anti-gay"
OK - this is not accurate, so you need to think on this.
Gay is having a sexual attraction toward a person of one's own sex.
- Having an attraction is not a sin.
- Whether this is a learned or born-in behavior doesn't matter, the person is God's child and He is certainly not anti- his creation.
Gay sex is wrong, because it is sex outside of marriage and separate from pro-creation and it denies the very nature of man and woman.
- Having a non-spousal desire is not a sin, acting on that desire or feeding that desire is a sin.
So God does not hate gays, he is not anti-gay.
God, as we understand, hates the sin of gay sex, feeding gay desires and promoting gay sex.
God hates sin, not the sinner.
Inblack you said,
Gay is having a sexual attraction toward a person of one’s own sex. – Having an attraction is not a sin. – Whether this is a learned or born-in behavior doesn’t matter, the person is God’s child and He is certainly not anti- his creation.
This is not accurate Matthew 5:28 says, but I say to you that whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has already commited adultery with her in his heart.
This is speaking of sin sending you to hell. All sin is wrong and seperates us from God.
So even having a gay nature and not acting on it is un natural and against the nature and glory of God who created us to be one man and one woman married.

I am very saddened by the criticisims that this baby, once called a “thing”, should not have been allowed to live. By denying him his fundamental right to life, you also deny his place in this world, as a teacher, one who can teach a lot to others about compassion and truly loving your fellow man. Children with disabilities are NOT animals, and any health problems arising should be treated with love, compassion and respect, just like ANYONE else with such a disfiguring disability. When he is seen as less than human, the problem lies in the heart of the viewer, and definitley not the child. Shame.

Boy if you are a doctor, can I get your address so as to AVOID your projecting what I should or should not live through on to me?? Yikes.

Why am I shocked/not shocked by this? Shocked because anyone who knows God knows God is PRO LIFE. He CREATED IT! #facedesk I am NOT shocked because these are the false prophets that Christ warned about. The only one that will be answering their evil prayers will be their god, Baal.

“vicious religious ignorance and intolerance”…CATHOLICS are guilty of this?? I submit to YOU your hateful article as prima face evidence of YOUR intolerance and hateful bigotry. Where in we are EXPECTED to turn the other cheek (so much for intolerance) but when EVER do libs practice what they “preach”?

My heart aches for that poor woman. I don’t know if I would ever recover from having my child ripped from my arms and killed by a tornado. I would never stop blaming myself, and I know this poor woman will have to live the rest of her life with that kind of guilt. My condoleances to her and her family, I pray that someday the pain will lessen for her.
that would be terrible....I hope she can come to grips and know that her son is in heaven.

Chamelon, you are so wrong on your precepts of Christianity you fell on your face the first sentance. No one can claim so and so when to hell because of how they lived their lives. A Catholic Priest (keep your comments about them to yourself) would be the FIRST to tell you that someone who didn’t know God but lived a moral life could get into Heaven. We KNOW our God is a merciful God, and we CANNOT stand in judgement over another person’s life.
March 1, 2012 at 5:49am
Good for that Priest to stand for the Faith. I pray that he remains steadfast in the fight against doctournal destruction so wanted by those on the Left. It is obvious this woman dosen’t know ANYTHING about the Church that she wanted to be in Communion with, and sorry lady, we don’t just change doctrine on personal whims. When it starts teaching against the Bible is when I leave the Catholic Church. Live your life how you see fit, stop demanding everyone else lower their standards and values to match yours.
