This Is Atheists’ Alternative Christmas ‘Holiday’ That Rejects ‘Supernatural Religious Beliefs’
December 23, 2012 at 8:35am
It always amuses me that people who regard Christianity as silly people believing in the supernatural, often themselves believe in ESP, power of positive thinking, spirituality of plants and animals, the zodiac, spells and chants, and any number of other extraordinary powers. What they won’t admit is that they don’t like what they perceive as being told what to do and how to live their lives, despite the fact that they willingly let the government and popular opinion do exactly that.
Judge Says Woman Can Hang Christmas Lights Shaped Like a Middle Finger After ACLU Sues
December 23, 2012 at 8:27am
“Kids are going to look at those lights and wonder, ‘Mom, Dad what is that, what does that mean?’” Todd Traylor told WAFB. “How do you explain that to a 4-year-old kid or a 2-year-old kid who doesn’t know what that means and you try to shield them from stuff like that.”
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that people don’t have the brains to know how to talk to their kids if they happen to see something out of the ordinary. How about don’t explain it to someone too young to understand? You don’t have to explain everything or put ideas in kids’ heads. Kid: “Daddy, what is that supposed to be?” “I don’t know son, doesn’t look like Santa or a reindeer to me”. “Daddy, why does somebody have a hand of lights?” “I don’t know son, that’s a lousy decoration. Let’s go look at nice ones”.

I agree, our regular UPS guy is awesome. There is one lady who sometimes drives the route if he’s off, and she’s terrible (expects my warehouse people to help her load up). And we’ve had terrible FedEx people and good FedEx people, it all depends. DHL have been consistently great, but they are a little different.
Here’s the True Story of How an Unemployed Tinkerer Launched a Successful Toy Company from a Shed
November 27, 2012 at 8:13pm
TheMajority is absolutely right. It is very difficult to produce product here and bring it to market at a price that the buyers (for retailers) will buy and then to the consumer at a price people will pay. Secondly, regulation compliance is very costly as is freight. You spend a lot of your margin paying for all sorts of things you never dreamed. And, a successful idea will get knocked off and cheaper replicas will appear on the market.

Newark Mayor Cory Booker and One of His Twitter Followers Set to Live Off Food Stamps for a Week — You’re Going to Want the Details
November 19, 2012 at 8:40pm
I read a story by some moron in NYC who decided to live off welfare or something for a week. First thing she does is go to a deli and buy $6 a pound cold cuts for lunch and then starts whining how are they going to make it through the week. Then there are the stupid ketchup soup commercials. Anyone who would make soup out of ketchup when you can buy a darn can of soup for 25 cents in a thrift store is beyond me. They need to go back to teaching home ec in school and teach these idiots the basics of daily life since apparently they know nothing.
Officials: Only Handful of Gen. John Allen’s 20K-Plus Pages of Emails to Jill Kelley Are Potentially Problematic
November 16, 2012 at 11:23pm
It’s 20,000 PAGES not EMAILS. And if you’ve ever printed out emails, especially if they retain signatures in forwards and replies, plus kept previous back and forth, it can take reams of paper for just a few. So the actual emails is likely considerably less, and we do not know the span of time. It is problematic that someone like her is taking up the time of people who quite frankly should not be spending so much time on a “socialite” who apparently spent most of her time talking out her ****.
