While I don’t believe in abortion – I don’t have much more tolerance for the anti-abortionists. I raised my children, and raised a couple of foster children – those who were born to some of those who just keep having baby after baby. I also worked as a nurse, and saw some of the damaged children raised in homes where drugs, alcohol and abuse were prevalent.

Most of the anti-abortionists I’ve seen couldn’t give a crap what happens to these babies once they are born. It’s just an adjenda with them, just like with the abortionists. If they really cared, why aren’t they down in the ghettos trying to help some of those children?

It will be a cold day in Hades before I spend $5 to browse. By ‘browsing’ in a store, that’s how I decide if I want to become a customer. They don’t sound like they want my business that badly.

Good Grief!! It’s a freaking PARING KNIFE!!! I have one in my kitchen – I use it to peal potatoes!!! What kind of people would leave a party because of it – they’d not be invited back, that’s for sure.

Granted, I think Walmart owes them a free cake – but they FIRED the person who made that mistake??? Pitiful – the whole bunch of them.

Pimplejuice – Kudos to your wise wife!! The only thing that was different is in Iowa, where I worked, we did NOT have to call 911 if they were a DNR. – unless things have changed in the last couple of years.
A good and caring nurse will do what the PATIENT wants – regardless of the inappropriate emotionalism of people WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND what their intervention would mean in this case.
Any of you who think differently – go to school – get a degree – work in that type of setting. After you’ve been there, done that, lets talk again.

PLEASE!! If I, for some reason, reach the age of 87, and I collapse – DO NOT let anyone ‘save’ my life!!! Let me go with dignity.
Not sure why someone called 911 – it is their job to save lives. I worked for many years in Critical Care – doing CPR on an 87 year old will break their ribs, possibly puncture a lung – and make any time the person has left – if they live through it – miserable.
I have a ‘Living Will’ that states that I want NO heroic measures if I should collapse.
