Hmmmmm, Isn’t Oregon the same state where a rapist was kicking in a woman’s door and the 911 dispatcher told the woman to ask the rapist to “please leave”, then the rapist raped and beat the woman and the police couldn’t come?

I don’t like Holder or Obama one bit, but I think I have to agree with Holder’s answer and we all should consider the possible scenarios….

If an airliner hijacked by an American citizen were heading for a schoolhouse full of children, I’d hope that the president would “authorize lethal force”.

Holder is right, the question is hypothetical and it is too vague.

Should we shoot a citizen terrorist who is planning an attack? NO. He should be arrested and tried.

Should we shoot a citizen terrorist who is in the act? Yes.

It is unreasonable to expect a black or white “yes” or “no” answer to the question as presented.

Devils advocate…. The Air Force under Bush administration orders was going to shoot down flight 93. What if it were an American hijacker on board and the plane were headed to crash in a populated area? Would we not shoot it down to save lives and property on the ground? What is the difference between an F-16 pilot shooting down an airliner or a remote drone pilot shooting an American terrorist in the act of trying to kill other Americans.

I’m a landlord. One of my houses has a flag-pole with an American flag proudly flying high. I encourage my tenants at my multi-unit to fly a flag.
