How would releasing the names and addresses of CWP holders benefit society? Would it not let everyone know who has a gun in their house so that house can be targeted for a break-in or something? Plus CWP only refer to those weapons that can be concealed-it does not refer to shotguns or hunting rifles. So in fact, his plan will only publish names of people that may or may not have a pistol with them at some point. Why doesn’t he say he wants to make public the names of those with a CWP and a hunting license – that would be a better picture of people with guns in their house.
