  When I first heard Levin was retiring I was giddy and couldn’t wipe the smile from my face, but we still have a huge problem in Michigan and in our area it’s retired union that’s been moving into the area we are losing control to the takers (some however after living here for a while have changed their stripes). Levin is a perfect example for the repeal of the 17th admendment.

  @ Dadrocked; Something else I have never heard the prez state that the bombing was a terrorist act, he instead said that the FBI was investigating it as a terrorist act and then he described what a terrorist act is but never himself stating “This was a terrorist attack on the US citizens in Boston”

  Dublinthewagons, No, I know what he did was a federal crime knowingly entering fraudulent information, what I was stating is that somehow he is equating purchasing a firearm as a criminal act and is simple to do even with all the background checks which didn’t make sense, for he just proved the gun rights side that a law abiding citizen (not a criminal) can purchase a gun legally.

  I don’t get this either, he passes a background check then when he gets the gun he will turn it in to the police? If he really wanted to make a point why didn’t he receive the gun then go on a shooting rampage(illegal), or turn around and find a felon and sell it to them (illegal), or walk it across the border and give it to the drug cartel (apparently not illegal if your Holder). All he is showing is that he as well as most of other gun owners are responsible and law abiding.

  Bingo, photo-op somewhere safe and controversial to drag all the media attention with him nothing real will happen, but the media will turn from the presidents scare-sequestration boon doggles (actually come to think of it the lame stream media hasn’t been covering the presidents maximum pain for political gain with sequestration, so I guess I don’t know the reason either).

  Back in 2008 our BCBS the lowest possible coverage was $625.00 per month for a family and this is because Mich. is heavy union and BCBS treated everyone the same. When Obama ran in 2008 and outlayed his solution that is when I started looking at how much we were paying and how much we were actually using and came to the realization that the savings of dropping the health insurance I could also pay for what I didn’t have coverage for dental and optical out of pocket at a huge savings. So I have been paying out of pocket ever since, now I can no longer do this without breaking the law.
  Obama care has nothing to do with healthcare but with control, you control people’s healthcare you control the people. Note how his “common sense” EO’s for curbing gun violence uses Obamacare and now we have two gun control czars in the healthcare system to determine how to use Obamacare to limit gun rights. He has effectively turned the doctors into the brownshirts by destroying the doctor patient relationship. Notice how the liberals are now trying to shame gun owners into giving in on the 2nd amendment just like Holder said it should be done.

  @KeatonC33: You will need to read your own links better, at gunshows anyone with a FFL needs to do background checks, the only exemption is in a private sale and the fed still requires a background check otherwise the sell is illegal but this is where it is hard to enforce. In November 2011 Michigan was invaded with an army almost 700,000 strong heavily armed with high powered sniper type rifles some of which were semi-automatic, according to those that equate gun owners with criminals you would think that out of that force there should have been 200 to 400 deaths by guns, but there were a couple fatalities from heart attacks, a couple from falling out of trees, and a couple from accidental discharge of firearms (forgot to set safety). When I listen to liberals you think with an army of people of this size there would be mass carnage, but instead you have responsible and well regulated gun owners. Oh and the NRA was started to fight the KKK by getting the blacks to arm themselves for defense of their life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

  @KeatonC33: No the EO’s make it harder for law abiding citizens from obtaining guns. What do you think about the elimination of the doctor patient trust? Doctors are now required to report to the fed. anyone that they may deem to be or possibly be violent, would this person now not even go to the doctor knowing they will be reported to the authorities because of a thought or the doctor may have put them on a medication that requires reporting to the authorities? The doctors are also now required to ask everyone if they have guns, what type, and are they in a safe place. If the doctors doesn’t ask then they will be in violation of federal law and if they ask and the patient says “no or none of your business” then they are in violation of federal law when the paperwork is submitted to the feds and they find you have purchased guns. Also will the doctor be prosecuted if a patient does do something violent and the doctor said they were fine? I guess there will be alot of worms for fishing.

  @NAUGHTYCAL; That’s the same take I have Pontius Pilate was not the evil sinister guy he literally and figuratively washed his hands of the matter and left it to the mob for he could see no wrong in Jesus’ actions but as for Barabbas he was also claiming to be the mesiah and was to deliver the Jews from the Romans and had led a rebellion against the Romans and was to be put to death for that so Pilate left it to the Jews to chose between a murderer and a rabbi accused of blasphemy. What the Jews wanted to hear from a mesiah was that they would be delivered from the Romans one was saying that, but the rabbi was talking about bringing the Jewish God to the non Jews and that is what infuriated the Jews.

  THEENDISCOMING: No I’m with you, I will fight for this countries Constitution and freedom unlike socialism.rocks who points out the problem around the world is socialism and progressives preying upon the uninformed here and abroad. What I was pointing out was what we are up against and remember as soon as we start to organize we will be regarded as terrorists and as I have just typed this out I may be visited upon by the law.
