There were 2 victims- Maj Gen Joseph D Brown, IV and a female passenger (no name released yet). His official title was Major General of the Eisenhower School at Fort McNair, a premier Department of Defense national security training school in Washington, D.C.
Obama getting rid of all the Generals that could oppose his Dictator rule he wants so bad

The celebration that took over social media after this mess was all done made me wanna slap the s#!t outta some people!! These fools locked themselves in their houses all day and emerged to declare Boston to be the toughest city in the country and when I thought it couldn’t possibly get anymore ridiculous, someone posted a picture of the Boston skyline with the message “bin laden- 3576 days tsarnaev- 5 days”……yankees are gonna be the death of us all
What do you expect from a city that is super liberal? All they do is hide and talk smack after sombody else has protected them, since they gave that right and personal responsibility away. Dont get me wrong some people in Boston are good people, but come on shutting a entire city down/martial law for one single man? Yep tough city..Here we would have gone hunting for his skinny butt, not hiding like scared old women.

My first thought was how did all of those “Professional” law officers clear the scene?
Hundreds of law and multiple agencies MISSED him?
Wonder how many unarmed wished that they had a weapon in their home?
ONCE AGAIN, IT IS THE CITIZEN THAT CATCHES THE BAD GUY…

that precious angel must’ve just received his First Communion…..I recognize the banner that he’s holding because I made one just like it when I was his age over 20 yrs ago
I was thinking the same thing. The media will ignore it, pretend like he's just another child. He won't be white, he won't be Christian, and he won't be Catholic. He'll just be some American kid that was killed. They'll strip his life from the real story and post something so we can't see ourselves in him.

check out this website on Chicago….it collects the data from the redeye site and puts it into graphs and charts, keeping a running total for the year……
they don’t have the details of what happened that night anyways…..get the book “No Easy Day” if you want the real story….there was no video feed streaming into the situation room and the pic was staged!! the SEALs used a satellite radio to report to their commander that they got UBL
“For God and country, I pass Geronimo,” Jay said. “Geronimo E.K.I.A.”

This is straight from the book “No Easy Day”
“I was astonished. We’d kept this whole thing under wraps for weeks. Now, Washington was leaking everything, and we were going to get the lecture for it. It felt like it was only a matter of time before some of our names appeared on the news. We just killed the number one terrorist in the world. The last thing we needed was our names attached to it. We simply wanted to fade back into the shadows and go back to work.”
BTW, if that is supposed to be a pic of the raid, then they don’t have the details because the guys roped in and landed on the roof. It’s obvious that they didn’t speak to any of the guys that were actually there and I strongly recommend getting the book “No Easy Day” if you want the truth and not just a “bad action movie” which is how the SEALs described the reports following the raid!!

@SGTB I’ve lived in Va Beach my entire life and it’s definitely true that the money spent on the military fuels local economies. The government is actually supposed to provide us with a military and the money they earn in their paychecks is what is then spent elsewhere (I’ve bartended in both Norfolk and Va Beach and could probably have gotten by financially on tips from the military alone). With the sequestration cuts coming up, we’ve had several studies on the effects they will have to the economy and the first people to feel the pain will be the small businesses according to economists from all ends of the spectrum. Va Beach had most of its growth in the 70s and 80s mostly because of NAS Oceana. We had a sustained 50%+ growth rate and now Va Beach is the most populous city in the state. Almost half of the economy in the region is dependent on the defense industry today.

wasn’t Ventura leaving the country a long time ago or something?? guess that didn’t work out so well….bet he planned it to turn out differently when he was grandstanding and delivering his rant against the gov’t……or he just likes to hear himself talk

To all of you who seem to be so troubled that these FORMER SEALs have decided to give the public a glimpse into what their lives were like really should calm down just a bit…..they know what’s at stake if sensitive info were to be publicized!! Any of the SEALs that are active duty aren’t sitting down for the cameras here and the last I checked, it’s the Obama administration that has exposed more about them than anyone else in my memory. Before the bin laden killing, I could hear the name “SEAL Team 6″ and it wouldn’t mean anything to me but within 24 hrs of that, I had come to find out that they were stationed less than 2 miles down the road and we had international media showing up everywhere trying to learn more about them!! I’m a Navy brat, lived here just about my entire life, but I’ve never met an active duty SEAL….that I know of, that is….but I’d have no way of knowing because they don’t talk about what they do ;)

I was getting my updates from a friend who works for the VBEMS and was at the scene…..the heroic actions of these pilots should not be lost in this story but it wasn’t til overnight hours when we could verify that no one lost their lives!! not only were there no fatalities, but everyone has been released from the hospital (only one pilot was kept overnight, the worst civilian injuries were smoke inhalation) 2 things happened to save the lives of everyone involved, 2 heroic pilots and an Easter miracle!! for anyone concerned, there are people who lost their homes and possessions and I would recommend (if you can) to make donations to the Red Cross in their names (obviously not specific names but sadly I have to mention that for those who do not understand) the Red Cross stepped up immediately to help and any donations would be so greatly appreciated by all who call vb home….these people are our neighbors and I can assure everyone that us locals will be doing whatever we can as well!! this is the area where my Church has an outreach program that we work with on a weekly basis!! God bless everyone for their concern and take an extra minute to tell your loved ones how grateful you are for them because only the Lord knows what tomorrow holds….Happy Easter :)

Obama even knows better than to come here (va beach) after his part in the murders of 22 members of seal team 6

my dad spent 22 yrs in the Navy working in AIMD (aircraft maintenance and development) and another 15 years in the purchase of military aircraft….he was on the base when it happened….quit it with the conspiracy theories from people who know nothing
April 7, 2012 at 11:27pm
I agree….I’ve offered the truth and facts of what happened and it’s sickening to see the things that have come from people who know nothing about the military (especially the Navy), nothing about my home town and the people who live here either!! those pilots stayed with that plane til the last possible second and we call them HEROES
April 7, 2012 at 11:24pm
there were a lot of seniors living in that apartment complex
April 7, 2012 at 11:21pm
I’ve lived in the area my entire life…my dad was on Oceana base about to launch another jet when it happened…..the fact that no one lost their lives and everyone has been discharged from the hospital is both due to the heroic actions of the pilots and an Easter miracle!! Those pilots did EVERYTHING they could and crashed into the courtyard of those apartments…..I can’t even express how proud I am to live among so many unsung heroes and brave civilians that never thought of themselves, only thought to get their neighbors out of danger!! VB ROCKS!!
everyone wants to find comparisons between this election and previous elections but we’ve never been in this situation before, facing the type of opponent we have in obama…..romney does not have grassroots support….if he did, he wouldn’t have had to pay people to campaign for him!! he doesn’t excite the base of the party and he never will. he could come out tomorrow with a completely new list of policies that the base would love but all that would do is prove that he will say anything to get elected. I’m starting to wonder if the GOP establishment even wants to win this election because the opposition to romney has been obvious and rather than finding a different candidate that the base would support, they keep trying to force this one on us and it’s not making anyone like him more…not to mention that every time his campaign tries to force other candidates out of the race, he’s only angering more and more of the electorate that believes in the crazy notion that we should all get to have a say in this and chose who we feel best represents us!! I don’t think I’ve heard anyone at all comment that romney is representative of them
Romney sends a thrill up Karl Roves' Leg...........
@Becca - that was a great, well thought out post! I however disagree with your premise. I personally think that the main-stream media has led the public down the road of believing that Romney does not energize the base. My reasoning? I have over 3 million reasons (the number of votes Romney has gained thus far). The media always downplays Romney's wins and overplays his losses. They constantly say the base is not energized about him, yet Romney has pulled off some amazing come-backs in tough states. Historically, its very rare for a candidate to have an easy path to the nomination - as it should be.
Finally, I don't believe that Obama is any different than any other failing president in history. His approval numbers are horrible and keep getting worse as the economy continues to struggle. Obama can and will be beaten by Romney in November.
@Becca_Leigh - Romney isn't exciting the base? Well guess what... nobody else is either. How many flavors-of-the-day have we looked at and STILL, STILL!!! the fickle voters can't get behind anyone. Well, if you can't get behind anyone, then I guess you get Romney. And really?? Is he that bad? All current nominees basically are gunning for the same thing. It is just how efficient and effective they will be, and Romney is pretty darn effective. And if you want the human touch, read about Romney and his priorities. He shut down his entire firm because an executive couldn't find his daughter. They flew to NY, he set up a command post and coordinated efforts across different agencies to search NY city for this guys kid. Guess what... they found her! THAT is a story you won't hear too much of. If you doubt He is a good man. Let's stop slamming a descent guy. URL is below if you care to check.

ok geniuses….this would never result in Catholic hospitals conforming to something that is against our religious beliefs…..it will cause them to close and everyone will lose those services!! it’s happened many times already with foster care, starting with Romney’s war against the Catholic Church in Mass…most recently in Illinois where the foster care services shut down because they wouldn’t allow kids to be given to gay couples and in 2007, there was a court ruling against a Church brought by a gay couple who wanted their “marriage ceremony” held there….it’s actually a quite selfish act of the radical gay agenda advocates who seem to forget that we put our faith before any man-made laws of a country or state….also, I highly doubt Obama will act on this one before the election since it’s opposed by the African Americans in general and he won’t risk their votes
