  This is such nonsense…. these are not States wanting to secede…

  These are individuals posting these things…
  and that is NOT how states secede from the union…

  These individuals have no legal standing to ask on behalf of other citizens…
  and secession is never done by asking permission from the party from whom one wishes to secede from…

  A single individual citizen wrote and posted each of these petitions… In each case they merely used the words “Louisiana Citizens”, for example… but it’s still an individual attempting to ask on behalf of everyone else, which again, has no legal standing.

  Perhaps this may give you a bit more understanding -

  “Can We as Citizens of a State Secede From the Union?”

  What does that mean?

  Are you asking if the citizens of one of the United States can get together and decide to take their State out of the Union?

  Or are you asking if the citizens as individuals or perhaps small groups can decide they want to not be part of the United States?

  Strictly speaking, the answer to your question is “no”. It’s a union of 50 States, not a union of 300 million or so citizens. A citizen can’t secede from the union because the union does not consist of citizens. A citizen can of course give up citizenship, but that’s not secession.

  Obama’s reelection was doomed from the time he took office and showed what an arrogant, amateur, non-leader he was; who focused exclusively on ramming a disasterous healthcare bill through without even knowing what was in it against the clear will of the people, and wasting 18 months doing so, and thn spending the next 18 months lying and trying to support this monstrosity and disaster, while plummeting us 6 trillion further in debt..

  The man is a jackass, a liar, a con artist, a fraud, and the greatest disaster this country has ever known, right after Carter and some would say Clinton in our lifetimes. He should have been impeached long ago on any number of inept, corrupt, and anti-american activities, has shown his contempt for Congress, national security, and the will of the people again and again, and eventually will be exposed as one of the greatest con artists that has ever lived, pulling off one of the greatest frauds in history, supported by a host of high profile socialist, communist, and anti-American individuals throughout his career, extending right into his reign of power at the american people’s and taxpayers expense.

  He’ll soon be gone, and good riddens, once the voting is done and the new year finally comes in and the new president takes over his rightfully won and much looked forward to seat of office.

  rfycom, you troll, you don’t follow Glenn Beck at all, do you, other than to make false statements like this. Beck rarely has even mentioned his faith until recently, has never spoken of it being above any other, has many friends and associates of other faiths, and has had members of other faiths on as guests on his show quite often, often highlighting their particular faith and never even bringing his up. Your ignorance speaks loudly and belies the fact that you don’t actually follow Beck or know who he is at all.

  As far as Romney goes, he’s doing just fine. Not only has he actually been ahead of Obama in real numbers, which Dick Morris has been consistent in making known, but he’s shown that he’s got the leadership and proper perspective this country needs to get back on track even as recently as this past weeks condemnation of the attacks on the US embassies and clear message that we do not appologize for having freedom of speech as a basic right of individuals in this country, something neither Obama, Hillary, or anyone in his administration has yet to figure out or to clearly state.

  To begin with, the host indicates the book is based on outdated information, 20 years outdated to be exact… but why let this deter anyone on the panel from making outlandish claims and accusations?

  Second speaker believes voter ID laws would take away the right of “one man, one vote”, then goes even further, saying Republicans who want to stop voter fraud are not just anti-Democratic, they are “anti-Democracy”. Complete nonsense coming from a total fool.

  The third panelist claims the only voter fraud that ever happened occurred back in 2000 during the Bush/Gore election… talk about showing oneself to be ignorant and unqualified to speak on a subject… she then jumps to “voting is such a basic ‘human right’, to have that taken away is ‘horrifying’”… so, a third fool is on the panel.

  The only conservative on the panel makes one statement to cut through all the lies and slander the other 3 opened with and the host grabs control again and totally directs the narrative back to the nonsense the first three opened up with… it truly boggles the mind to observe such a display of ignorance

  The only people who would even watch this drivel are so far left there is in all likelihood just no way to reach them… the rest of the clip is really no better.

  Destroying Christian morals has been a goal of Marxists for nearly 100 years now. They understood that to destroy America, they first would have to weaken our culture, to destroy the family unit, and change us from a society based on morals and righteousness to one where immorality is accepted and praised, one where morality is condemed. Try reading “The Naked Communist” if you’d really like to have your eyes opened to the Left’s agenda, or do a search on the “45 Communist Goals to Take Over America” which were read into the Congressional Record and recorded for posterity’s sake in 1963.   Why is some reporter even focusing on them and their pettiness and by doing this giving any importance to their maliciousness and ignorance at all?

  What little sense of discretion reporters and editors have these days with what they try to pass off as “news” for readers to slog through…

  So, a bunch of ignorant people who are mean-spirited posted ignorant and mean-spirited things about a dedicated and accomplished olympic athlete who after years of committed effort just suffered a loss of victory by mere tenths of a second? Someone actually thought this was a news story? Someone thinks we need to waste our time or effort being concerned over their ignorant behavior, their lack of respect, and their show of bad manners WHILE NEVER POINTING OUT that this is a huge major downside of social media in that it allows them a vehicle through which to show their bad manners and ignorance ?

  The world would be a far better place if their behavior were recognized for the ignorance, hatefulness, and bad manners that it really is, and as anyone in polite company would know to do, simply ignore them and their ill-manners, simply allowing it fall by the wayside where it should properly remain; while Lolo’s dedication, commitment, and virtue alone are what should be focused on, attention given to, and despite her heartbreaking failure to secure a victory, should be held up for an example to all and praised.

  Crestof – read the article again. It says they claimed he was “babbling incoherently” because he repeatedly tried to tell him he was a Navy SEAL, which they did not believe. It was their lack of belief which was the problem, not his attempt to explain that he was a Navy SEAL.

  What you have here is a typical case of copspeak. As such, it is no reflection on Shaun Day’s character or state of mind whatsoever. It has everything to do with the police’s version of what happened, their predisposition to victimize those who they can, and their attempt to rationalize and fabricate an explanation for their behaviour which was found to be totally out of line in the end. Period.
