No, not lazy poll workers. I’ve been a poll worker for years. Poll workers aren’t supposed to handle a person’s ballot. The voter is supposed to drop his/her own ballot into the box. It’s for their protection and for the poll workers protection.

Tired…”Traux, who said that the money came from a decades-old real estate deal…” Where do you get, from this, that it was “given to serve God’s purposes and not given to be redistributed equally to the members?”

OK folks, if it was any other state in the union, I’d be as outraged as the rest of you. But think about it…..this is Vermont; a liberal bastion, the home of Ben & Jerry’s and a state that recently wanted to secede from the union. Can we expect any better?
I wouldn't include secede in that list. Texans are still talking about wanting out of the freak show.

Dim, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Everybody in my family carries “regular” cell phones.

Keres, God will not “resume his old testament style wrath” on humans. Quite the opposite. He will finally, completely take his protection off of the people of this corrupt world and Satan will rule. That’s where the “carnage and weeping of people on a global scale” will come from. Everybody has the opportunity now to accept the sacrifice of Christ on the cross for our sins, invite the Holy Spirit into our hearts, and spend eternity with Him. Those who choose not to accept this gift, given freely, will be under Satan’s reign. And even then, there will be many who will finally accept Christ’s sacrifice during that time. In the end “every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!”
A few points of your "christianity 101" post.
1. There is no actual "choice". For there to be a true choice, there must be two equally compelling choices TO chose from. Until it is proven that there IS "a Jesus", as christianity claims, then there is no "choice". There is only [for some] honesty. I cannot honestly accept someone I don't see as real.
2. You may not be aware, but there are those who do not see the doctrine of "christ's sacrifice" the same way you do.
3. You are wrong about that part of your bible. The Bowls and Viles come right from angels in heaven, directed by this god/Jesus.
4. "....every knee shall bow, ....." If people do not want to accept a [then realised] literal biblical Jesus, after death, yet they are forced to "bend a knee and make a confession right before being thrown into an everlasting torture", that seems an awful lot like a dictatorship to me. And indirectly, I will ad that the doctrine of "once you die your chance is up" is COMPLETELY lacking in compassion and morality and is one of primitive "grudge holding". Imagine a person dies and [if YOUR religion is right] sees Jesus, is moved by him, yet is sent to "Hell" anyway? That is pure evil.
As a side note, people don't go to Hell. I'll see if you can figure out the scripture where I can say that.

Regarding the “gay Whopper” it was only at one restaurant in San FranFreako and only for a few days. Nonetheless, they lost me as a customer. It’s my understanding they also sponsored the gay pride parade in SF.

I admit I didn’t watch the video; only read the article. Where is it indicated that there was any alcohol or underage drinking involved?
While beauty does not have a political ideology, without a doubt, the most beautiful women I've ever met have been liberal women...and, conservative woman are often not only physically unappealing, but often are ugly on the inside as well...

@Funk….you’re right. Not everybody believes the same. But Christians don’t rant and rage when somebody tells them they’re wrong.

Funny Twin! My dad was large, red-face and angry when he faced down the school principal after my brother had been punished for something he didn’t do. It worked the first time!

Ratio, I’ll state again, Deut. 14:26 refers ONLY to those unable to travel to “the place where the Lord will choose to put his Name because it is so far away.” You seem to give carte blanche to anybody giving anything to any charity and calling it a tithe. D 14:26 doesn’t not apply. Donating to the Congress of Black Women, the Humane Society, One Fund Boston, etc., etc. is not tithing. Those donations are not “giving back to God” in order to further God’s work. His one and only desire is that we establish a relationship with Him, and spread His word so that others may establish a relationship. Giving to the United ***** College Fund does not further His work, therefore does not qualify as a tithe.

There are tithes, which are first fruits given directly to God through the church. Giving to charities, the homeless dude on the street, extra to the church etc., are considered offerings over and above the tithe. And giving to a charity isn’t necessarily giving back to God; it depends on the charity.
