This could be fun. Monday morning call Mikulski’s office and innocently ask, “I heard your boss use the term ‘Tea ******’ last week. What is that? please explain it to me”. It should be a laugh riot.

Thennnnnnnn how come your comments are still up? You are very confused. We conservatives, especially the Libertarian variety, like the constitution and the bill of rights. I don’t want anyone’s free speech restricted. Not by trying to use the FCC as a weapon…like the Democrats. Not by trying to use the IRS as a weapon…like the Democrats. Not by expanding the NSA surveillance…like the Democrats (kick in the ass to the Republicans too on that one). Not by trying to marginalize people we disagree with by making baseless charges (racist)…like Democrats. Get the picture. Have a nice day.

Remind me again. What is a right-wing conspiracy? When a conservative QUOTES some wackazz MSLSD commentator? HA!

Yes, and Obama wants submarines with screen doors. I mean, those submarines have stuffy air, it would be sweet to open the windows and let a little breeze in. HONK HONK! The circus is in town. C”MON PEOPLE, lighten up and laugh. <–that is mostly directed at you humorless libs.

Solutions from Saddam Hussein book of justice. C’mon. Is that a failed attempt at a joke? A shot at redemption is cheaper than incarceration.

I watch FOX news and got 8 of the 9 questions. I suppose one question would be, can you trust the study itself? And hey, and to all of you posting insults (both lib and con), lighten up. We are countrymen. Let’s try to have some respect even for those we disagree with.

Perhaps we are going to be conditioned to ignore our fellow Americans? It’s easier to control 320 million lone sheep.

That’s nice, you really sound interested in sharing the world. And capitalism, yeah, it’s evil. Creating new inventions, medicine, improving lives, enhancing consumer choices, creating jobs, and elevating everyone it touches. That does suck when you compare it to socialism that destroys incentive, kills choice, destroys innovation, and drags everyone down. Why I laugh at you and your narrow minded non-sense? Most liberals just adore Darwin and Darwinism. Capitalism is nothing more than economic Darwinism. Think about it for a minute. Once you realize how wrong you are things can get better. Have a nice day chumpy!

why assume these guys are conservatives? Is Warren Buffet? Anyways, virtually all TEA party people think that the bailouts were wrong. That is a point of agreement ya big dummy. TEA party does not support corporate overlords, that’s just dopey. We’re just not ANTI-capitalists. Don’t try that silly “anti-crapitalist” moniker. Profit is good, and can be done in morally without screwing anyone. We also don’t trust the gooberment to fix the very problems they created.

You spew a partisan argument that is based on a flawed premise. BTW, have you stopped beating your wife?

I don’t smoke….or drink (much), but I still think that smokers are being treated like crap. I actually hate smoke, but it’s still someone’s right to smoke if they want. So, the question to smokers is….if you get lung cancer, do I have to pay for your treatment? In my world, you do what you want, and pay the consequences of your own actions. I agree with you the friggin nanny state is way out of control. Personally, I am working on killing myself with food, having a damn good time doing it, and don’t expect anyone else to pick up the tab.

Are you serious? Willfully blind or just dumb? OWS has anarchists and communists amongst its ranks who are sworn to violent tactics to achieve their ends. So every time there is a clash with the police it was the police who started it? It was the police who trashed commercial building in Oakland? It was the police who raped protestors? The police are charged to keep order in society so that the rights of the 100% are respected. And that’s another thing, OWS calling themselves the 99% is laughable. Mainstream America is growing weary of their violence and nonsense. When it comes right down to it, these folks are anti-capitalists, and main street America still believes in hard work, private property rights, and paying their bills. OWS blames corporate greed?! This mess was fueled largely by government policy. There is a small good core idea in OWS but their anger is totally misdirected. They lack character, they lack understanding of American history, and have no clue what it is that made America unique.

@ Your Sensei: The federal government (primarily) under Clinton and Bush, with the best of intentions (maybe), demanded the banks lend money to people who were poor credit risks. The government reassured the banks to backstop the loans via Fannie and Freddie. Yes, there were greedy mortgage bankers, and greedy realtors, and greedy home appraisers, and greedy rating houses, and greedy home buyers who were all too eager to sign their name on a contract for a house they could not really afford. And with all that blame to go around, I still insist that at LEAST 51% of the blame goes to our federal government who created (and repeatedly defended) a system sure to fail. Banks are not evil, they serve a purpose of extending credit and other services to people in need. If we have seen (excessive) greed beyond morality guided self interest, it is because our culture’s collective morality stinks. If you think government can solve that type of systemic issue, you are just sadly naive. I hope that makes sense to you.

@Your Sensei: No, I would not stand next to someone with that sign. In fact I would tell him to leave. Nor would I stand amongst communists, anarchists, Neo-Nazis, Klansmen, and the like. That OWS crowd has built a real coalition to be proud of. Who is self-policing their ranks?

I think most of the regulars here would agree with you that the bank bailouts were wrong. So why not lay the responsibility at the feed of the government where it belongs? And why are the bank bailouts bad but the GM/Chrysler/GE bailouts good?
