The solution to this mess is really very simple. The politicians have unrestrained power because we have allowed them access to the family checkbook full of blank checks and limitless resources. Therefore, the are getting their friends back home to fill out grants and such for bridges to nowhere and the study of ant reproductive systems all of which is just a money laundering scam. All they are doing is packing the pork into every bill they pass and then getting cousin Eddie back home to hold their cut until they get home to claim it (LOOTING THE TREASURY).
SIMPLE SOLUTION – The states can pass a constitutional amendment with 75% of the states approval. We need the states to put the leash on these crooks by creating two constitutional amendments. 1) A Balanced Budget Amendment – Take back the family checkbook. 2) Term Limits – congressmen and senators are not supposed to be in it for a career. They are supposed to serve their country and then go back to work producing something instead of leaching off the system.
Solving these two problems is simply the only way out of this mess. It can’t be done at the federal level just like your teenager isn’t going to hand back the checkbook and ground him/herself without being forced by the ones who are really in charge in the family.
Who’s in charge America?!?! The teenagers or the adults in the family?

@RANEPOWEL… You are the one lacking a single brain cell if you don’t understand that those thousands of government agency jobs are paid for by private sector tax payers and those agency jobs only cost money they do not create a single penny. Cutting federal jobs reduces the federal deficit and gets the monkey off the backs of the hard working companies out there so they can hire these people to actually do something productive with their lives instead of dragging down the achievers.
