  • She needed a teleprompter. Here she is, at 21, with no real life experience; being run through the Public Education Alimentary Canal, and now expected to solve a pre-defined question?
Trying to remember & recite an entire encyclopedia of contradicting Political Correctness is impossible.
Even trained community organizers and propagandists need one.

  • R.O.U.S ‘s: Rodents Of Unusual Size. Meh, you see them all the time in the Fire Swamp.

  • Ol’ Straw Man Dan.
Still up to his old tricks.
Read BIASED by Bernard Goldberg and find out who The Dan really is….

  • Whether Edwards is sincere in his belief, or if it is genuine, or whatever, is between himself and God. The fact that this creates a diversion of sorts and interferes with people’s own relationship with deity causes me concern.
Calling Christ a ‘cool guy’ was the deal breaker for me.

Either He is who He says He is or not buddy; there is no kinda, that was taken off the table two thousand years ago.

    Mirror, mirror…

  • Political Correctness says it all: It’s POLITICAL. The job of politicians is to whip up fury over the smallest of things. Creating emotional tyranny, or an institutionalized ‘correctness’; what people can say and cannot, will always lead to division.
Division and emotional reactions like fear and hatred.
It is the business of politicians to create as much fear and hatred as possible and then become the solution. All the PC minions who react to this are only serving their masters.

  • As Albert J Nock put it: “The prophet of the American masses must aim consciously at the lowest common denominator of intellect, taste and character…” The prophet being the advertiser who is seeking the greatest possible audience must appeal to the lowest common denominator of said group. What I find interesting is that a large portion of this population raised on harsher goods would not only consider it tame, but blase.

It does appeal to many folks South Park side of humor and let’s face it, KMart isn’t trying to appeal to upscale buyers in the first place. Their demographic is a slice of the Walmart/Target/ShopCo pie.

No season opera tickets holders there.

So, let the masses have their fun. It succeeded in getting everyone’s attention at being edgy. Problem is that now a new low has been set there will be thousands looking for something to beat that on their race to the bottom.

If they can ship more pants, then the masses will have voted; what more can we say?

  • Everyone has now been made aware that Buffalo Wild Wings is a gun free zone.
Translation: Buffalo Wild Wings is a place where nobody is armed.
Buffalo Wild Wings, being a gun free zone has made themselves a Free Crime Zone.

Perhaps the people who work for Buffalo Wild Wings should also remember that it is MUCH CHEAPER for Buffalo Wild Wings to send a condolence card to a grieving relative when one of their employees is shot during a robbery than defend themselves in a court of law should a robber be shot on their premises. They choose to go cheap and disregard their employees safety.

By advertising nationwide that Buffalo Wild Wings is unarmed and helpless they are putting all of their minimum wage employees at grave risk.

    Boycott Buffalo Wild Wings

Plus, their food is overpriced and tastes like ketchup and vinegar.

  • Brick and mortar stores are going to have to evolve into more efficient distributors. The way they advertise, sell, and maintain a dependable customer base will not be helped by treating them as thieves.
Tip to the block-heads at Celiac Supplies: Use that customer momentum in your favor. If customers are going to price your stuff and then order online from cheaper sources, maybe you should get off your cans and find out who and how much.
Customers armed with information will be your best friend, if treated with respect. You can use their desire for product information to guide them right back to you. But, you have to be honest.
If I was running that business, I’d go online, get the prices and brief run down on product comparison and that stuff. Offer them something smart and value added.
A customer armed with information cannot be treated with suspicion and disdain. If that’s your gig, there’s always public sector work available, you sure as heck won’t be running a private sector retail store.

  • Using sex to sell a product? What kind of world do we live in?!
Their big mistake was in being obvious. Misogyny is key to the advertising culture, but concealing it is their art.
