  And now having read a ton of comments, all I can say is if you have never been a server,its HARD work. Thankless work. Made all that harder when a large group takes up a number of your section, meaning alot of possible money to be made, and then they run you ragged, only to try to get away with something for nothing? And having worked at 4 and 5 star dining rooms, let me tell you, no matter what the establishment, its always VERY clearly marked regarding tipping for large groups. Id be willing to bet the people complaining about having to even pay on a large group setting have never ever had to run their **** off only to be treated badly the whole time, and then, to top off a bad experience, they skip the tip? If these peoples service was so bad they should have spoken with manager after the 2nd screw up. Id bet money they didnt say a thing until they had to pay up. Unless youve walked in a servers shoes, shut the hell up.

  I know what people will say, but its ok, I know Im not racist. However, having been a server and cocktail server, in all the years I worked, I dreaded the black folks groups. And Im not the only one. Other folks I worked with who were black dreaded it too! They make you jump through hoops, they give you a hard time just because they can, and they almost ALWAYS leave NO tip or a chicken crap tip for all you did for them. Nine times out of ten, we would have these large groups not only eat everything ordered, but then have the audacity to demand a discount cause it all was terrible. Most people would give the discount just to get them OUT the door without a lot of drama. But one manager at the HOB had had enough and refused. Boy, those folks went berserk. i quit. There just wasnt enough money in the world to put up with their attitude and nastiness. Now not all black folks are like this, but 9 out of 10 were. I either had to quit or I was gonna go to jail for beating some Big Black B*&^%$ silly. Weirdly, the men NEVER would pull this. In fact, they usually when with their women friends, would hang their head and not even be able to look at me they were so embarrassed. Some would even slip you some cash when the heifer they were with hit the door.

  And I may sound liek Im painting all black folks like that, but the truth is, thats all I ever see. its RARE when I get black folks who are polite to me as I am to them. The hate and distrust they have towards anyone not black is aggravating and hypocritical to say the least.

  What she wrote may be ugly in language, but I gotrta say, I know how she feels. Having worked as a bartender/waiter in a Dallas establishment for a few years, dealing with the black clientele was always unpleasant. They not only were always rude, but they would demand things for free and then berate you when you didnt comply. They would order huge amounts of food, proceed to eat all of it and then call you over to complain and try to trade in one bite left for a whole different platter based on “not liking it” even though they would eat the WHOLE thing! And then they would try to intimidate and get racist themselves if you were white and get loud and threaten in any way. The women were the worst. The men just couldnt take no for an answer on club nights. Acting like fools and then shocked when someone says it. SMDH

  I would have reacted by tazing that bearded dirty dude waaay before Id let his A## get that close to me. i think Bill showed restraint. Really, having seen people at their worst lately, youd let some fool rush you at night wanting to “talk”? i think not. If it were me he tried that on hed find himself in the fetal position on the ground. You dont rush people. You never know what they might do.

  Also, I want to start seeing our Conservative reporters start to get more aggressive and heckeling. But in a polite baiting way. Like, as he stormed off ask loudly just why is he so defensive etc. keep his **** talking. Ive found with liars and their ilk if you just keep letting out the rope they will do themselves in. I want to see this when it comes to Obama and his Q&A w/his WH reporters, I want to see this when it comes to all the Democrats and their B.S. being spewed. We need to start really exposing the ignorance for what it is. No spin needed, it smells all on its own.

  I am not shocked at all by this. this may anger some, but Chinese people are used to seeing suffering and tragedy. They have a cruel streak that only a hard core vet whose been through the worst hells of warfare could possily match. I say this having lived in SF most of my life and dealing with alot of Chinese. Vietnamese friends hate the Chinese with a passion. Read some papers from Vietnam regarding Chinese business and food practices and maybe you will see what I am talking about. Never buy food products manufactured in China is all I can say. Their cruelty comes from generations of coldness.
