PETA banned the auctioning of horse for slaughter/shipment to France, and we here at the top of the Rio Grande are seeing hundreds of horses being abandoned to the wild. Very few are being taken in by the three predominant wild herds, but the 50% that survive their first winter are multiplying. It’s heartbreaking to see those who starve to death slowly slip away. Another debacle by our liberal government.

The feds have been removing all traces of early European settlement around here, that’s why they’re after the wild herds. They’ve been removing early European artifacts and settlements, especially from the National Parks and other national lands, probably in coalition with the “Original Peoples” movement.
