The part that got me was when the father recounted his son’s words: “It was hard to explain to a 9-year-old the complexities of why I was telling him that we had to quit,” Miller said. “He told me, ‘Daddy, it should be like church. Everybody should be welcome.’”

Sigh, kids start out accepting but get warped by hatefulness and ignorance. The father clearly misses the point of Christianity.

SENDTHEMETEORS hit the nail on the head. Leave it to the more radical conservatives to find something wrong with drone-striking those radical terrorists. People like you who complain are the reason us Republicans can’t win elections. You guys are too extreme for the populace.

What does Ben Stein know about terror policy. He should stick to acting and doing clear eye eye drop commercials.

I hope the FBI also investigates you for inciting domestic terrorism LBJDIDIT1963.

Anyone who wants the Tea Party to be more close-minded is too radical to be a conservative!

Last I remembered, Michelle Obama wasn’t president so she can’t pass executive orders. Last I remembered, Michelle Obama didn’t make up the whole house and senate to pass a law mandating the change in textbooks. I don’t think you guys have an idea of how government works. She wasn’t forcing the publishers to change them now, just suggesting that perhaps maybe in their next print edition, they could replace fatty and sugary foods with healthier food alternatives on our children’s textbook. I don’t like Obama, and voted for McCain and Romney in the previous elections, but even I don’t have my head so far up my you know what and so biased to agree with something as simple as this. Like I said before, radicals that can’t open their minds to something like this are the reason we can’t win elections. And of course, if you don’t agree with the other person’s message, that person must obviously be a troll. Please grow up.

I don’t get what the big deal is anyways, Leave it to our conservative brothers in the states with the highest obesity rates in the country to find something wrong and say something racist over the simple idea of changing sweet and fatty foods from the text books of our children’s school work. This is why we can’t win elections. The radicals are holding us back.

Who cares if he didn’t return a salute. Obama is the president, not a soldier. I’m pretty sure the soldier appreciated the handshake, more than a salute. Move along folks, non-issue here.

I thought you guys were true republicans like me. If you guys were true conservatives, you wouldn’t let your personal religion get in the way of the constitution of our country, where our founding father Thomas Jefferson once said, a “wall of separation between church and state”. God bless this brother for forcing this town to remove the cross and enforce the constitution. He is a true American. God bless that man. Glenn Beck should have him on the radio to discuss his courage.

I don’t get what the big deal is even if he used information from media matters. I mean we’re all after the truth aren’t we? I hate media matters as much as the next guy, but nothing media matters said in the article was false. Seems pretty straight forward when you cross check with AP and other news sources that what they said there was true. Are we here on this page to go after the truth or just pile on blindly and insult each other and the president of our country guys?
