until recent, and unfortunately somewhat successful, attempts by libertarians to blend in and fly under the radar amongst conservatives, there were significant numbers of them who were openly hostile to israel. it’s going to therefore be quite interesting to see what response you get to this question

Glenn seems to be looking backwards and trying to recreate something that he thinks the American majority wants. Problem is that the American majority that he’s appealing to no longer exists as the majority.
Look around at the culture. Look at Obama’s reelection. If this were still a conservative majority country things would look quite different. Obama’s not the problem. The culture that chose him is.
The left have been remarkably successful as a minority; nonetheless pretty much owning the culture. They did this using realistic and very clever tactics.
Until conservatives accept their minority status and strategize accordingly, rather than from an attitude of denial and false sense of dominance, there is little chance of defeating the left.
They’ve outsmarted us. It’s not a pleasant reality, but it’s an essential truth that must be accepted.

The most simple, direct, significant, and immediately effective thing that can be done to restore the culture is for conservatives to take their children out of government schools. I really don’t see competing with Hollywood having any near term real effect. I think it’s mostly feel-good action, and somewhat superficial assault on symptoms rather than cause.

Beck is a man in transition. Transition is a period of confusion. We are witnessing this every day. One minute he’s deeply spiritual, the next he’s a giggling 15 year old finding things funny that no mature person finds funny and speaking with immature vulgarity. The most troubling and odd though is the conflict between spiritual conservatism and materialistic libertine libertarianism: “If it doesn’t break my leg, or pick my pocket”. Personally I’m rooting for Conservative Glenn.

i wonder if the guy was encouraged by glenn’s new naïve and ill-advised “rodney king” can’t-we-all-just-get-along tent-of-enormity inclusiveness

for god’s sake, glenn, either grow an actual beard or shave!
what you got going now is pathetic.

his having sexual problems is his problem. if he kept it to himself and just played football it wouldn’t be an issue beyond that. but what he has done is publicly proclaim pride in his deviancy. that’s the issue. that is the thing that should not be tolerated, let alone celebrated.

glenn beck’s promotion of this pathetic rant is emblematic of what the shift from conservatism to libertarianism has done; removed morality from consideration. this old fool has the audacity to compare being black to being a sexual deviant with identity and spiritual disorders?! absolutely makes me sick. the prohibition against blacks and whites marrying was absurdity codified in law. the redefinition of marriage to include homosexual pairings is also absurdity codified government approved. doing away with the former absurdity is the polar opposite of the institution of the latter.

“may” not look at him the same way again? what a ridiculous headline, especially given what has been known about the pervert prior to this. he should have long ago been a pariah. but hollywood loves *their* monsters. i doubt this latest revelation will make any difference to them, and they’ll likely question the veracity of his victim.

If there were a drinking game in which you did a shot every time you came across a Blaze article with no typos or misspellings, you would have the most sober readers on the internet. Come on, people!

because, as with almost all blaze articles, either they have no proof-reader, or have a very poor one. check the blaze’s description of the vid…”hearing his mother’s rendition…”

what?! this is it?! THIS is the incredible dancing woman glenn actually devoted time on his show to and space on this site to? are you serious? i kept watching waiting for the moment when she would actually dance or display even the slightest evidence of talent. what a waste of time, and here i am so bewildered that i’m wasting more time commenting about it. Unbelievable!

the man is a certified wretch. his unfunny remarks illustrate that. no need to misrepresent the audience reaction to prove that point. they didn’t boo, they groaned. try to keep it real.

you essentially have posted what i came to post.
it’s really depressing seeing adults react positively to this kind of behavior.
same with the wiseass punk who confronted the motorcycle cop.

we have no idea what happened before this vid began. this ill-mannered child was probably told off about some other punkish behavior, responding with this self-righteous disrespectful rant on his way out.

we all know the school system is a mess. total breakdown of discipline is part of it.

A seminal moment in the corruption of the conservative movement was when Rush LImbaugh hired Elton John to perform at his WEDDING reception.

Anyone else noticing the Glenn Beck hypocrisy? On the one hand decrying the devolution of the culture, while on the other being compromised by it.

Lately he often says, “If it doesn’t break my leg or steal my wallet” (that may be a paraphrase).

This is the stance of the amoral libertarian; the culture can go to hell as long as he’s not personally affected. Utter foolishness.

“Extremely thick southern accent”? What the heck is with that comment? And the a commenter suspects the kid is “reading a script” because he uses the word “heartbreaking”. Looks like mocking southerners is still the cool thing to do.

there are too many similarities between the security guard and the low-lifes he’s dealing with.

his language is just as vile.
his emotionalism is much the same.
he has no clue and/or apparent interest in defusing the situations. on the contrary he continually goads fools into being more foolish. the man’s going to end up getting killed.

  • December 21, 2012 at 7:20pm

Conservatives’ idiocy with language is making me crazy.
The Left and the MSM label things according to their agendas and purposes and otherwise intelligent, common sense conservatives unthinkingly parrot their language.

    Use “killer” or “murderer”.

Their are many other examples: Fiscal Cliff. Balanced Approach. Gay Marriage. and on and on….

you learned nothing. your apology should have been to mr cathy and to focus on the family and exodus for your slanderous comments about them. you’re a shallow, politically corrected drone who is just playing out your cultural programming. hate is a terrible thing. it’s a serious word. your misuse of it diminishes its meaning and power. you’re in a state of hypnosis. snap out of it.
